2023 was another busy year for the Hing¢ Ccntre. We continued to run OUT community groups such as The Budget
Cooking Class,, Nlen's Mcet and Eat,. Time 4 u 2,. 'HeAlthy MiJ)ds' and Craft for Health,. all of which W¢Te aimed
bTinging peopl¢ tog¢th¢r, redu¢ing isolauon: improving exiyting skills, providing new skills and empowering people to
mak¢ choicva. We launched a ¢ouununity drop-in session and digital drop-in session &8 well as the offer OE online
Courses includin8 food hygiene and health and safety at work.
During 2023. our comnJuDity project received 323 refe￿15 for b¢Defil and w¢lfarE 5UPPOrt. 677 one to iYi¢
ppointments took place withhn this proj¢cL

supportillR commw)ity ¢v¢nts such as fayr¢s, coffe¢ mornltigs and stalls, as well as r¢¢epiion duty and off¢rin8 SUPPOrt
withiij Community groups. in addition, we provided placement opp)rtunities for 6 studenL8.
In 2023 w¢ h¢ld a number of community ¢v¢nts. both to bring the com]nunity to¥eth¢r and to fvndrnise ftsr tbe ¢haTity.

87 people have been supported witb claiming for welfare assistance in relation to resettlement, debt management. white

funding sources and w¢re us¢d io dire¢ily pay to land]or(ts, d¢bt ¢ompani¢s, ￿lIllY companies, wun¢il housing OT

Resettlenjent ProJ¢¢t
The resettlement projttt supports hom¢lesg ithdividual$ or th￿ at Tisk of homelessness to firstly identify their
indivithial needs, then pul 108ether a holistic support package covering a Tang¢ of personal life skills and personal
development with ongoing support in order for them to a¢¢es$ supported independent t¢nancic% which they can
maintain. We also provide help at a critical momeni. providing Sup]￿ to m¢¢t smm¢diat¢ $ll¢h fiKrf $l¢eping
bags, flasks and mobile phOll￿.
Within this Tep(wting period 186 individuals have been refe￿ta for resettlement 8upporL This project worked
successfu]ly, fac¢ to fac¢ with 106 of ihese individuals. 45 of the individuals were supported to move into privatety
rented Pro[￿rt1¢S, hostels or supported liTrin8 aDd 7 retumed kn family or remained in accoDunthtion.

¢onsuIt&ti(￿s. Working groups havc been set up to achieve wider consulthtion.
The chari¢y will continue to work to idenlify and seeure fimding frorn a variety of Sources to fund projttts, core costs
and to nJat¢h fimd ¢urT¢nt bids.
Fundraising will continue lo play a k¢y rol¢ in 2024 and our Fundraising co-ordinator will work hard to increase
funding efforts. to bring in vital funds for the charity. We will be placing grea1￿ empha&is on raisittg wJtestri¢t¢d funds.
Raising the profile of The Hinge CffLir¢ Cbarity will ¢¢miinu¢ io play a pan of the charities aims in 2024. Relove4 0
charity $hop, opened in July 2023 and helps with raisin8 the profjle as well as raising fi￿dS for th¢ ¢harity and giving
voluntsry work actjVLtie5 for some of our st￿1¢¢ users.
The Trust￿ cornplete an annual skn115 and stren¥ths analysis which allows us to recognis¢ growth ond i4w￿lfy g8P$, in
order to seek out new member5 who bring those skills.

The tradin8 company ha8 one share, owned by The Hitige C•htr¢ Limited, 8t)d three diTectors'. the Hinge Centre's Chief
Execuiive. Th¢ Hin8¢ C¢ntr¢'s Tr¢a8ur¢r and one indepetsdent directoN The shop had a full-tirne manag¢T wilh two
part-tim¢ d¢puty manag¢rs. All other staff are volunteets.
The Hing¢ Cerltre Trading Limited 1$ o seporate wnw8ny to r¢duc¢ the fu￿￿¢18[ risk to the charity. A loa]J of £35,(K)O
was made lo s¢1 up the thop* IIlOSt of whid) wtht on renovation5. To date. £5,OW of the loan has been repaid and
