_**registered charity: 1146676**_ Tel: 0345 475 5958 ## Trustees Annual Report 2024 Animal Rescue Cymru is a small animal charity, taking in and rescuing all types of domestic animals from all over Wales. We hold micro chipping days to promote micro chipping at a far reduced rate. We have displays set up to educate the public to the plight of these abandoned animals and how to prevent and help. We start this report with sad news – the passing of one of our trustees – Maxine HazellThomas. Maxine was not only a trustee, but she was one of the founders of Animal Rescue Cymru & she took an active part in everything that the charity did. She devoted her life to the welfare & wellbeing of all the charity’s animal & she will be greatly missed by all who knew her & our thoughts go out to her husband & children. The year has been busy with regards to the animals – more coming into the rescue, & it seems that a large number of these were given up due to the ever increasing cost of veterinary treatment. To this end, we are increasing our Permanent Foster programme, specifically for the older animals. This means that the charity covers all vet fees for the life of the animal. On the subject of vets, the charity has changed to another independent vet to try & keep costs down. We attended several fundraising events throughout the summer, & these proved to be popular with the volunteers. More planned for next year, as these help to raise awareness of the charity. We continue to rescue & rehome the all the animals & as well as dogs there were rabbits,some cats,hamsters & other small domestic animals. The charity’s aim for next year is to raise funds to refurbish the play area for the dogs & to continue to rescue & rehome all those animals who come into the rescue through no fault of their own, email: rehoming@animalrescuecymru.co.uk www.animalrescuecymru.co.uk
