The charity's objects are lor the public benefit to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the statement
of belief5 in Tyne & Wear and in such parts of the ilnited Kingdam and the world as the trustees from tirne to
time may thlnk fit. The charity wlll fulfil such other purp05e5 which are eMclu51vely charltable according to the
law ol Enejand and Wales and are connected to the charitable work of the charitv.
The church 15 community based and is open to all to become involved.

The trustees have paid due re8ard to 8uidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the charity
undertakes,

The strategies employed to achieve the charity's aims and objectives are to

The charity eifted in total £10,356 and used £36.617 on salaries and operating costs. Income amounted lo
£54,276. There is a healthy bank balance of £82,08312023 £77,684). Liabilities are negligible.
Reserves policy
Reserve5 are needed to bridge the gap between the spending and receiving of income and to cover unplanned
expenditure, The trustee5 in line with Charity Commission guidance seek to have a minimum of si% months expenditure in
reserves. This tarRet ha5 been achieved. The trustees do not believe going concern is an issue in the next twelve months
Eiven the careful financial management employed by the charity and level of monies held in the bank.

At the time of appravine the finantial statements. the trustees have a roasonable expectation that the charity ha5
adequate resource5 to continue in operational existence forthe foreseeable future. Thus the trustees continue to
adopl the golng concern basis of accounting In preparlng the financial statements.
1,3 Charitable lunds
Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of their charitable objectives.
Restricted fund5 are subject to specific condition5 by donor5 or 8ranlor5 a5 to how they may be used. The purposes
and uses of the restricted funds are set out in the notes to the financial statement5.
Endowment funds are subject to specific condltions by donus that the capltal must be malntained by the charity.
1.4 Income
Income 15 recognised when the charity is legally entitled to it after any perforrnance conditions have been met, the
arnount5 can be measured reliably. and it is probable that income will be received.
Cash donations are recognised on receipt. Income tax recoverable in relation to donations received under Gift Aid or
deeds ol covenant is recognised at the time of the donation.
Legacie5 are recognised on receipt or otherwise if the charity has been notified ol an impending distribution, the
amount is known, and receipt is expected. It the amount 15 not known, the legacy 15 treated as a contingent aS5et.

1.5 Expenditure
Expenditure is recognised once there 15 a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic benefit to a third
party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefit5 will be required in settlement. and the amount of the
obligation can be measured reliably.
Expenditure 15 clas5ifled by actlvlty. The costs of each activity are made up of the total of dlrect costs and shared
costs, including support ¢osrs involved in undertaking each activily. Oirect costs &trribut3ble to a single activity are
allocated directly to that activity. Shared c05t5 which contribute to more than one activity and support costs which
are not attributable to a single attlvity are apportloned between those attivities on a basls consistent with the use of
resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation charges are allocated on the
pDrtlon of Ihe dSSet'S Use.

The charity has elected to apply the provisions ol Section Il'Ba5ic Financial Instruments, and Sèction 12'0thÈr
Finantial Instruments Issues, of FRS 102 to all of its linanclal instruments.
Financial instruments are recognised In the charity's balance sheet when the charity becomei party to rhe
ontractual promsions of the instrurnent.
Flnanclal assets and liabilities arè offset, with the net amounts presented In the financlal statements, when there Is 3
legally enforceable right to set off the recogni5ed amounts and there is an intention to settle on a net ba515 or to
realise the asset and settle the liabillty simultaneously,

arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the debt Instrument is measured at the present value of the
future payments discounted at a market rate of interest. Financial liabilities classified as payable within one year are

Trade creditors are obligations to pay lor goods or services that have been acquired in the ordinary course of
operations from supplier5. Amounts payable are classified a5 current liabilities if payment 15 due within one year or
le5s.11 not, they are presented as non-current liabilities. Trade creditors are recognised initially at transaction price
and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest rnethod.
