**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF THE TOWN OF HORWICH IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE COLLECTION, PRESERVATION AND MAKING AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC OF MATERIAL AND ARTEFACTS OF HISTORIC SIGNIFICANCE BY THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF AN ARCHIVE AND COLLECTION FOR THE PRESERVATION OF SUCH MATERIAL AND ARTEFACTS AND BY THE PRODUCTION OF LITERATURE AND FILMS.

**Activities:** Horwich Heritage has 150 members and runs a Heritage Centre which is open 6 days a week.  It runs a full programme of talks, walks, trips and produces its own publications, films and exhibitions.  Through its wide ranging programme of activities it supports all the local Primary Schools and local people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities with information about local history and heritage.
