Celestial Church of Christ T rustees report for January 2020– December 2020

Celestial Church of Christ Amazing G race parish (AGP) is a registered charity in England and wales with board of T rustees. AGP community p roject funded mainly with the generosity of the Church members p rior to Covid 19.

The spiritual g rowth of our church is managed by our shepherd in charge. Our church is a small family church, we buil d ou r foun d ation on the teaching of ou r Lo rd Jesus Ch r ist “Love Go d an d Love you r neighbou r as you r self” . We support every member of our church as a community, members and community issues a re attended to. Our church is a gateway for safeguarding Vulnerable people in our community.

Ou r Policies

COVID 19 PANDEMIC

The church could not ignore the sufering of our community (Southwark) we provided and delivered food Hampers. Covid 19 afected everyone globally, but its impact on BAME g roup is huge. The needs for the food packs g rew that the church could not cope fnancially with it . With the help of community Southwark we applied for diferent Covid19 food rg ants. We worked with Pecan food bank, local GP, Southwark c risis referral system. Many people f rom BAME background especially African uses foodbank for help, mainly because they do not cater for their special diet needs, fear and shame. COVID 19 increased the demand of our service by 500%. The impact on p riority g roups (low earners, lone parents, pensioners, Refugees, people with no recourse to public fund and those with medical conditions o r disability) is huge therefore we p rovided 3 meals for d3 ays per week.

We supported 10920 people Distributed 112000 Kilograms of food Nappies 445 packs Baby formula 58 tins Christmas Hampers 100 Christmas lunch 24 delivered to over 75 years isolated homes.

The support we p rovide g rew f rom food to holistic support like e ducating, referring and rp oviding language support the family, the service is diverse and inclusive. 46% of our service users a re Muslims and 43% Christians and 11% p refer not to say.

COVID19 Response food rp oject with the help of six volunteer drivers we provided essentials food and non food items like tissues, sanitary pads, washing soap with 3 meals for d2 ays and a minimum of 5 f resh f ruits and vegetables were delivered to vulnerable people in the community of Southwark, this was a life saving for many people we supported.

We p rovide a safe place for the children by running Summer Food and Fun Club working in collaboration with Southwark and Lambeth council to p rovide Summer Club for the Children of the family we support with food. We used eatwell guide to encourage the children about healthy eating, we encourage healthy eating at low cost, we p rovide sample ingredients for them to t ry at home.

Collaborating with Southwark public health, Clinic commissioning g roup we organised two webinars about vaccination p roviding a platform for the community to ask question about Covid19 vaccination for vaccine hesitant. This supported the uptake of the vaccine among BAME community we work with.

We o rganised employment support for those looking for work. The church building became a community hub for vulnerable people.

The Trustees present their report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2020. Celestial Church of Christ Amazing Grace Parish is a registered charity with the overall mission of spreading the Christian faith, alleviating poverty and reaching out to those that are marginalised in the society at large. We started the year with a spirit-filled service with the motive of continuous soul-winning for the Kingdom of Christ.

Th church activities for the year in review are classiffied into standard, special and inter parish. The standard activities are are regularly held weekly ,monthly and annually, they are part of the Church calender worldwide and are observed by all parishes including Amazing Grace parish

The special activities are home grown activities that are designed to meet the needs of the members of the parish including the parish cantata, the summer feast , a special grand command music performance to include special artists from Europe and Africa.

Inter parish activities are related activities and special proprammes of sister parishes and other denominations for which the parish regularly gets invited to particiate or as a guest. They include revival programmes and seminars.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST AMAZING GRACE PARISH

I report on the accounts of the Trust for the period ended 31st December 2020, which are set out on paged 3 to 6.

RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TRUSTEES AND EXAMINER

As the Charity's Trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the Account: you consider that the audit requirement of section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 ("the Act") does not apply. It is my responsibility to:

. Examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act;

. to follow the procedure s laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5) of the 2011 Act;

. to state whether particulat matters have come to my attention.

BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the Accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the Accounts, and seeking explanations from you as Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a true and fair view' and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
