**Pontypridd Children’s Contact Centre Supporting family contact throughout RCT**

PONTYPRIDD

Pontypridd Children’s Contact Centre has seen a busy year throughout 2023-24. 

The Centre continues to offer the following services: 

- **Supervised contact** 

- **Supported contact** 

- **Handover** 

- **Zoom indirect contact** 

- **Community based visits** 

The Centre aims to ensure that where possible and safe to do so, that every child receives the love and support of key family members after divorce or irretrievable family separation. 

The Centre has predominately helped to support individual families residing in Pontypridd, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Cardiff, Caerphilly, Bridgend, and sometimes other areas of the country. 

The Centre has supported over 85 individual families throughout the year.

## **Funding** 

The Centre receives CAFCASS Cymru, Welsh Government funding to deliver both supervised and supported contact. Other forms of funding are obtained through grant applications, referral fees and donations. 

## **Referrals** 

Referrals are accepted via the following: 

- The family law court 

- Family law solicitors 

- Mediation services 

- Children’s services 

- Self-referring basis

Training 

Various forms of training are offered to staff and volunteers at Pontypridd Children’s

## Contact Centre. 

The Centre is affiliated and accredited by the National Association of Child Contact Centre (NACCC). The NACCC provides mandatory training modules for volunteers to complete throughout the year. 

## Volunteers have completed NACCC accredited modules including: 

- Induction 

- Health and Safety 

- Family breakdown 

- Managing conflict 

- Understanding family Law 

- Working with reluctant families

THE TRUSTEES OF PONTYPRIDD CHILDREN'S CONTACT CENTRE.
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity Cthe Trusfi") for Éh8 year
ended 31st March 2024 set out below.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity's trustées, you 8re responsible for th8 preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
r8quirements of the CharitiesAct 2011 ("theAct"}.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act
and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 14515>lb) of the Act.
Ind8p8ndent examlner's statsment
I have completed my examlnation. I conflrm that no material matters have come to my attention in
connectlon wlth the examinalion which gives me ￿uSe to b8lièv& that in, any material respect,,
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records. or
the attounts did nol cornply with the applicable r8quirements Goncerning the fomi and
content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008
other than any requiremenl that the accounts give a 'true and fair, view whlch Is not a
m8lt&r consid8rad as part of an Independent examlnation.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in eonnectlon ￿th the
examinalion to which attention should be drawn In thls report in order to enable a proper
understanding of the accounts to be reached,
