During the year ending March 2025 the work of Ignite has continued to grow, specifically our
work through the Gateway Project in India. Income is a mixture of committed individuals, key
trusts such as the Awakening Foundation and the Message Trust and Elim churches such as
City Church and Gateway Church, Caerphilly. Lucy Patterson continues a5 our freelance book
keeper.
Trustees
There has been a change to the Trustees, we now have 4 trustees currently appointed with
the addition of Nigel James.. Stephen Williams (Chairl, Nigel James, lan Rowbottom and Gary
Smith.
Summary of 'ObJects'
The Charity's 'Objects' for the public benefit are to advance the Christian faith in accordance
with the statement of belief5 appearing in the schedule hereto in such parts of South Wales,
the United Kingdom or the World and the Trustees may from time to time thlnk it is fit to
fulfill such other purpose5 which are exclusively charitable according to the Law of England
and Wales and are connected with the charitable work of the charity.
Details of Structure, Governance and Management
The directors of this charity are its Trustees for the purpose of charity law and are collectively
called Trustees, throughout the report.
The trustee5 are recruited through personal contacts of the existing trustees. Potential
trustees are elected based on expertise, wisdom and the knowledge that they can bring to
the management and administration of the board of trustees. The decision of appointments
is made bythe board including the residing Chair of Trustees, Mr. Steve Williams.
The Board of Trustees have wide reaching experiences ranging from Christian Ministry to
commercial business skills.
The board of trustees remains accountable to the Charity Commission and for their careful
use of charitable and public funds. They are also responsible for the achievement of
performance standards in the charity's service provision.
Policy on Reserves
The board of trustees ensures that reserves are sufficient to meet the Trust's immediate
charitable objertives.

International Contacts
India
There has been a lot of development In our support of the worl< in India under the direction of the
local partner, Gateway Ministries. The church building has now resumed with 5 churches funded or
pa rt funded by Ignite (Big Ideas1 taking the total number to 35 churches. The fund5 for these additiona I
churches came from an indlvidual from Caerphilly Church and the Message Trust.
Gary Smith travelled to India in July 2024 where he visited the school, children's home and many
churches. We have again increased the contribution we make to the Gateway school.
We continue to look at ways to reduce costs and develop income for the Gateway school and
children's home.
Liberia
Our relationship with Ignite Liberia is still strong, financial support has come directly from individ ual
gifts and the awakening foundation and has not been administered through Ignite.
Wales
Ignite continues to support initiatives that share the Christian faith in Wales. All support is
channeled towards the work of The Message Trust in Wales. This includes the work of Cardiff
Street Pastors.

Respective responsibilities of Irustees and examiner
As the charivs trustees you are responsible for the preparation of Ihe accounts and
you consider that the audit requirement of section 43{2) of the Charities Act 1993 does
not apply. It is my responsibility to state . on the basis of procedures specified in the
General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under section 43 {7) (bl of the
Act, whelher parliculars matters have come to my attention.
Basis of my report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the
Charity Commissioners. My examination included a review of the accounting records
kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presènted with those records.
The procedures undertaken do not provide audit evidence and therefore I do not express
an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Statement
Your attention is to drawn to the fact that the charity has prepared financial statements
in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charilies= Statement of Recommended
Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard for Smaller Enlilies published 16 July 2014, the Financial Reporting
Standard for Smaller Entities (FRSSE}, in preference to the Accounting and Reporting by
Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice issued on 1 April 2005 which is referred
to in the extant regulations but has since been withdrawn.
l understand that this has been done in order for the accounts to provide a true and fair
view in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practice effective for reporting
periods beginning on or after 1 January 2015.
In connection with my examination no matter has come lo my attention which .'
11) gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the Act and to prepare
accounts which aGcord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting
requirements of the Act have not been mel. or
(2) in my opinion should be drawn to the attention of users to enable a proper picture of
the accounts to be drawn.
