In planning our activities for the year and future years we keep in mind the Charity
Commission's guidance on public benefit.
Public Benefit Statement
Objective I
TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATEMENT
OF BELIEFS IN SUCH WAYS AND IN SUCH PARTS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OR
THE WORLD AS THE TRUSTEES FIROM TIME TO TIME MAY THINK FIT.
We slarted meeling in the newly refurbi.8hed Jubilee Centre on the 21" April 2013. Our weekly
Sunday morning meeling.s include family worship and separate teaching for adult8 and
cliildren. We have three different age groups of children. Various guests come to speak to the
adult.% on a Sunday from dift'ereni bdckgrounds <ind churches. Jubilee Church Wirriil are keen
lo build partner%hips wilh oiher churche% ihroubyhout the UK and have ongoing relationships
with %everal in order iu advance the Christian f¢llth.
In addilion lo the full time Senior Pastoi-, we cunttnue to eniploy a part lime youth and
children .% direclor who over%ee% 4111 our work with chlldren and young people. including
.%(Ifeuuarding. We alsu continue to empluy a communicalions lind pa.%tordl leader part-time. In
<iddition, we have pail-time contractor.4 who dSSlSt with fin<ince, admini%lration, building
management and websile/social medi<1 development.
We continue to offer leadership iraining, which 1% open lo all who attend the churcli with a
focus on developrnenl of leadership skills in any context. Also, through this year we ran an
additional three courses in line with advancing the Chrislian faith.. Into the Word. Joining the
Family and Freedoni iii Christ. Throughout this year ihe senior pa.%tor. Dave Frodsham, held a
drop ii) for men at a local coffee shop to offer pastoral %upport. In addilioii to this we also
offered ai) opportuiiity for further pastoral support al Occasional men's breakfa%t meetincys.
Aitendaiice at our weekly life group% provide opportunities lo growih in the Christiaii faith.
Many aclivilies throughout the year suppori our aims towards this objective. Every summer
Jubilee holds picnics iii the P<wk 011 several occa.8ion.% to build community Wlthiii the church.
We continue with regular prayer meetings to provide the opportunity for all to engage in
community prayer. Frnm January to March we offered two Sunday morning meetings for the
public (O Ilttend on a Sunday morniiig.
In addition to this. every August we offer the opportunity for teenagers to attend a Chrisliiin
camp called 'Newday' in Norfolk. This is open to all teenagers of the Christian faith, alternative
faiths or none. Also. every October Jubilee Church Wirral holds an event called the 'Light Party,
for primary school children in order to share the Christian faith with the local community.

TO RELIEVE SICKNE.SS AND HNANCIAL HARDSHIP AND TO PROMOTE AND
PRESERVE GOOD HEALTH BY THE PROVISION OF FUNDS, GOODS OR SERVICES
OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING THROUGH THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING AND
SUPPORT IN SUCH PARTS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OR THE WORLD AS THE
TRUSTEES FROM TIME TO TIME MAY THINK FIT.
We continue lo look for opportunities to serve the commuiiity around us and other connecliolis
Ih<lt we have boih locally, nationally and interii<ilionally. Our Good Neighbour projeci ih<lt we
begaii duriiig covid coiitiiiue% by providing food parcel% lo those iii iieed. During this fiiiancial
year we received a number of local council graiits to coiitiiiue wilh thi% project. We continued
with offering a free light luiich for dnyoiie iii the commuiiity to drop iii. These (ifiernoons dre
very beiieficial for building friendships and as cl warn] space to attend.
We conlinued io suppori the Wallasey Churches (Chri4tians Agaiii%i Poverty) centre to assisl
Ihose iii debi. A joinl managemenl comniitlee oversee4 the project. The cnmmitiee is made up
of VilriOUS local church leaders in Walla%ey, with Jubilce Church Wirral aciiiig as ihe lead
church. Within thi% role we dre re%poii%ible for ihe budgeting nf the projecl and payiiig ihe staff.
We employed Debt Cenire Mcini2ger duriiig thi5 year. From l. July 2024 however a iiew
charily, Wallasey Churches Community Asset Project (WCCAP}, was formed (o mandge this
project. In time they will take on the respnn%ibility of employing the Debt Centre Manager
directly.
Furtherniore, lo relieve fiiiancial hard.ship in the local community we provided %everal food
hamper% in December 2024 to those in need in the communily. We worked cln%ely with health
visilors 'iiid other ch¢irilies lo identify the recipients.

A.% part of the .8ervice that CAP Wallasey provides to assist families and individuals with debt
counselling, we offered the 'Life Skills, courses to ihose in the community to assist with
budgeling, cooking, healthy meal planning, etc. during this year.

We provided a number of additional educational activities throughout the year to complement
the Life Skills courses. To support those with additAonal needs in the community we held a
'Sing Along, evening once per month. which wa% open to individuals with additional need.q aiid
their carers. In February 2025 we held 'safegu￿dI1Ig Sunday, to educate and rai8e awarene8.8
of the importance of 8afeguarding practices wiihii) the church and communily, aiid we
continued to develop our %afeguardiiig policy to include adults dt risk. We had about (Ill children
and tlieir teacher8 from our local primary school engage li) inieT<lCtive and iiiforrnlltive 4e%sion8
aboui Easter iii April 2024. We coiitiiiued with our free weekly mums & iotq group to serve
tho.qe looking after small childreii in ihe community. This group is open to parenls,
grandparent5. exleiided family member8, fo%teT careT% or childmiiiderg. Finally, to celebrate
diffeTence% in culture% we held 'lnteniational Day, in September 2024 which include a
luncheon of inieiiialioiial foods.

Basis of accounting
Tlie finaiicial statements have been prepared under the historical cost accounting rules
and comply with Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Sta(ement of Recommended
Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Si¢indard applic<ible in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) issued on
16 July 2014, the Charities Act 2011, the Companies Act 2006 and UK Generally Accepted
Praciice as it applies from l January 2015.
In accordance with the provisions of the SORP FRS102 Update bulletin l ag published on
2 February 2016, the charity qualifies as a "small ch¢Wity

Designated tunds comprise funds which have been set aside at the discrelion of the

CAP Debt Centre Fund
This restricted grant received from Wirral Borough Council was held to be used on behalf
of Wallasey Churches Together to establish a Wallasey Christians Against Poverty Debt
Centre. We have managed this grant and donations and have distributed this leaving a
balance of £1,399 at the end of the year which will be allocated to Christitms Against Poverty
costs in the next financial year. After this they will manage their own funds.
