Our Values

Conscious - being aware of the Almighty in all aspects and times of their life. Respect - being respectful to all those who are around them. Honesty - being honest in all aspects of their life.

As our organisation grows, it is essential that we ensure our local community understands our morals and values.

Our values are the core of everything we do at Madressa Mahmoodia, in our aim to help the local community and the Ummah as a whole.

Madressa Mahmoodia aims to create a cohesive Islamic environment to educate, enrich and empower our students through positive experiences and interactions with teachers of knowledge.

Our students are our vision, and we believe their time at Madressa should shape their character and provide them with a firm grasp of the principles of Islam, preparing them for the different challenges they may face in the future.

Madressa strives to provide knowledge in a fun, loving environment. We want our students to love the place they acquire Islamic knowledge. We want them to take these positive experiences and cherish them into their adult life.

We want to prepare all our students spiritually, academically and to distinguish themselves up to their potential; enabling them to handle the rigors of life with Islam at the forefront of their minds.

We will engage and educate the young generation to know their Creator and make sure they are equipped to live in this society, confidently as Muslims.

Trustees’ Statement

Trustees statement

All praise to The Almighty who has granted us, the community, the opportunity to be a part of this establishment for another year.

First and foremost, I would like to thank all the teachers, students, parents, volunteers and donors for being part of this rewarding cause.

Although the Madressa no longer has any outstanding debt, the increase of energy prices has resulted in the Madressa still requiring donations to run.

We are confident that with clear, considerate and informative appeals that show our community the result of their donations, we will continue to have their duas and financial backing.

I would like to thank all our donors, volunteers, staff and supporters for all their hard work patience and efforts during this year. May The Almighty reward you all abundantly.

Trustees’ Report

Introduction:

We begin this report with heartfelt gratitude to The Almighty for blessing us with another year to further our mission at Madressa Mahmoodia. Our primary goal remains unwavering - to instil the core Muslim values into our students, preparing them to be exemplary individuals in society.

Throughout the year, we continued our commitment to community service. The spirit of volunteerism was embraced wholeheartedly, with numerous students and their families actively participating in a series of impactful initiatives. We are pleased to report our accomplishments:

Fundraising Events: Our fundraising efforts continued to be a success in 2023, reflecting the incredible support from our community. These events played a pivotal role in sustaining Madressa Mahmoodia:

Summer BBQ and Tawa Fundraiser: Our annual BBQ and tawa fundraiser proved to be a delightful gathering, replete with mouthwatering dishes, and it once again demonstrated the commitment of our community.

Ramadhan Bake Sale - Delightful Dishes and Treats: In the holy month of Ramadhan, a delightful bake sale was organized, offering a wide array of delicious dishes and treats. This initiative provided an opportunity for the

community to come together, sharing the joy of the season and contributing to our noble cause.

Pound a Day in Ramadhan Campaign with Donation Boxes: We re-introduced the pound a day throughout the holy month of Ramadhan . Donation boxes were distributed across the community, allowing everyone to contribute to the campaign easily. This initiative exemplified the power of small, consistent contributions, coming together to make a significant impact.

In conclusion, the past year has been marked by a dedication to our mission, commitment to community service, inclusivity in education, and successful fundraising events. Madressa Mahmoodia continues to thrive and make a positive impact in the lives of our students and the broader community. We look forward to the year ahead with great optimism, knowing that together we can achieve even more for our students and the society they will serve.
