Our Values
As our organisation grows, it is essential that we ensure our local community understands our morals and values.
Our values are the core of everything we do at Madressa Mahmoodia, in our
aim to help the local community and the Ummah as a whole.
Inspiration
We aim to enlighten our students with knowledge, good morals and exceptional character, taught from the Qur’aan and Sunnah, which will help them in this world and ultimately help them and everyone they meet in the future.
Adaptability
We are creative and adaptive, willing to listen to new ideas for the benefit of the Madrassa, the community and the Ummah.
Community Care
The welfare of our community is of a high importance to us. Through resolve and integrity, we aim to always put our community first.
Trustees’ Statement
All praise to The Almighty who has granted us, the community, the opportunity to be a part of this establishment for another year.
First and foremost, I would like to thank all the teachers, students, parents, volunteers and donors for being part of this rewarding cause.
Like for many organisations throughout the world 2020 was one the most challenging years in the Madressa’s history. The coronavirus pandemic lockdown meant the majority of year the Madressa remained closed.
Whilst the Madressa still has outstanding debt owed to members of the public we were unable to fundraise throughout the year.
However, we pray and hope that 2021 will be a far more prosperous year.
I would like to thank all our donors, volunteers, staff and supporters for all their hard work, patience and efforts during this year. May The Almighty reward you all abundantly.
Aameen

Trustee’s Report
All praise to The Almighty who has bestowed us with another year to help and support Madressa Mahmoodia.
Whilst the Madressa was closed for much of the year, we did start off with a wonderful campaign.
Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon Him) said, ”The deeds of my people, good and bad, were presented before me, and I found the removal of harmful objects from the road among their good deeds, and phlegm which might be in a mosque left unburied among their evil deeds”.(Muslim)
As part of the lesson in ilm2amal sylabus the students were taught about keeping the area clean as this is part of our beautiful religion; Islam.
In small groups students and teachers went out collecting rubbish around the area near our Madressa.
May The Almighty accept the efforts of all those who helped in any way.
March 2020 Lockdown
When the management learnt of reports of countries across the world enforcing lockdowns The Madressa took drastic action and setup online learning provisions well in advance. This meant students were able to continue distant learning within one week of the first National lockdown of March 2020.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic we were unable to carry out any
fundraising campaigns. The council did offer us a generous grant which helped the Madressa with day to day running costs.
We pray The Almighty grants us a more prosperous 2021, Aameen.
