company wa5 incorporated on 21 December 2011. The company is a membership organisation with the maximum
liability of each member belng £1. The Articles of A$50ciation govern the company. The company 15 managed bv the
Trustee 8oard whlch consists of a minimum three and maximum twelve trustees who meet at least four tlmes a
vear. Day-ttrday operational management is dele8ated to the Chief Executlve [Yfi￿r.
The company is a member of the National AsxKiation of Citizens Advice Bureaux which provide5 a framework for
standards of advlce and easework management as well as monitoring progress against these standards.
As noted in the Report of the Trustee5 forthe year ended 31 March 2023. Citizens Advi￿ Tandridge Distrlrt was
formed on l Aprll 2022 by the merger of The Caterham and Warlingham Clt12ens Advlce Bureau and The Oxted &
Dlslrlrt Cffjlzens Advlce Bureau.

delivered at either of our two offlces or. where 4pprapri2te, through OUt￿a¢h locations on request. Thls approach
ensures that individuals wlth more complex needs, partlcularly vulnerable cllents who benefit from personal

Cllents can access our services online by completlng a webform avallable 24 hours a day. seven days a week vio our
website. This enables. Individuals to ¢ontsrt 115 at a time convenient for them. We respond either by emall or. where
consent is provided, by telephone to carry out a MO￿ detsiled assessment before providing advlce.

We also receive referrals from partner organlsations, enabling dients to access both general and speciallst advlce.

helping individuals stsbilise their financlal sltuatlon. The project aims to mÈti8ate the Impact of poverty by

Foodbank Outreach Project
Our Foodbank Project delivers outreach adv1￿ across three locations of Caterham Foodbank. We provlde
fa￿t0-fa￿ advlce during three ￿5510￿$ each week, supporting cllpnts with Issues including benefits, debt,
employment and other matters affecting thelr financial stablllty. By offerln8 advlce within the foodbank
settin& we ensure people faclng Immedlate hardship can also acce55 longer-temi support to maximise
income and address underlying problems.

Our Macmillan Welfare Rights SeNke provides specialist welfare benefts advice to people affected by
cancer lJv5ng in Surrey, includlng those with terminal Illnesges ¥rosS the Advlsers sUPPQrt clients to
access the financial support they are entFtled to, helplng to reduce St￿$5 during a difficult tirne. In addltlon
to benefits advlce, the service 3150 provides guidance on related issues such as housing and employment and
signp05ts rlierfs to other approprlate wpport servlces.
SASH NHS Workforce Wellbe1￿ Proiect
The &4SH NHS Workforce Wellbeing Project offers confidential generdlist advlce to NHS employee5 working
at East Surrey Hospitsl and surrounding lorations. Delivered In partnership with Reipte and Banstead
Cftlzens Advice. the service supports stsff wlth Issues includlng benefits. debt. hous1￿ employrnent, and
relationshlp breakdown. By provlding acce55ible advice within the workplace, the project ensures NHS staff
can r.eceiye timely support for personal challeD8es tbat mav Impart their wellbeing and ablllty to work

Research and Campalgns
Alongside deliverlng advice services, we use eyidence from our clients to infonn improvements in the policies and
practi￿5 that affect their lives and to strengthen our response to Increaslng and more complex demand.
Through the systematlc USE of eviden￿ forms and advic¢ issue codes, we collect and analyse data on client15sues.
This enables us to identify emerging trends at an early stage. particular￿ where there are increases in demand or
complexity, and to escalate recurring issues affecting clients locally and nationally. This evidence base strengthen5
our ability to respond to need while also contributing tc wider systems chan8e.
Our Research and Campaigns funttlon Is dellvered by a dedicated team of two volunteers. supkx)rted by a trustee.
During 2024-2025, the tearn helped ensure that client experiences infomed both local awareness and national
campaigning actiyity by:

This work complements our servire delivery by ensuring that demand and comple¥ity we see in frontline advice is
captured, understood, and used to inform both local support and wider policy influence.

The sUC￿$S of the charity would not be possible without the commltrnent. professionalism. and dedication of both
our volunteers and paid stsff.
The Trustee Board and Management Team recognise the significant contribution made by our volunteers in
delivering advi￿ to the public and supporting the effective running of the service. Without this contribution. our
Servi￿ would not be oble to operate at its current scale or reach.
During the year. volunteers contrlbuted an estlmated 11.242 hours. with an indicatlve annuallsed value of £291,110.
However, the true value of volunteering extends well beyond financial equivalence. Volunteers bring a wide range of
skills. experipnce, and lived insight to the service. strengthening the quality and accessibility of advice proyided.
In many cases, volunteering a150 provides valuable personal and professlonal development opportunities, supportlng
individuals to build confidence. gain new skills, and improve their employability. A number of volunteers progress
into paid roles witbin the organisation or across the wider Citizens 4(fvire networL
We continue to prioritlse the recrultment, development, and retention of volunteers through regular revlew of our
training offer and by ensuring clear pathways for progression. We are committed to providin8 an accessible,
inclusive, and welttsming environment that enables volunteers to contribute effectNely while developing thelr t)wn

The Trustees. policy on reserves is to set aside sufficient funds to avert cash flow problems at the beEinning of the
next financial year and to provide for any contingencies. If for any reason the Bureau had to ￿ase its activities. it
would be p055ible to meet its ststutory and financial obligations for o period of three months, until it wa5 wound up.

The trustees extend their SInce￿ gratltude to Tandrldge Distrlrt Councll which has continued to support the core
operating tapacity of the organisation. although this does not meet the entire operatlng costs of the tharsty- To
meet these costs in full. the company is dependent upon the receipt of additional project-specific funding from other
