## **Trustees Annual Report** The Year April 2021 to March 2022 was unexpectedly successful for a pandemic year. Fundraising went well such that we overshot our target of £ 25,000 by about 20%. This was in part due to our use for the first time of a professional fundraising organisation. For the first time a reserve fund was established. Permission was obtained from Historic England for work to restore and safeguard the church ruins that form the centre piece of the sculpture park at Hope All Saints. The first part of the work was completed with completion of the second part expected during the summer of 2022. A number of sculptures were added to the sculpture park and restoration continued on the mural paintings. Unfortunately, two mural painting of the original twenty have been painted over by the landowners after a period of ten years. A decision has been taken not to replace these or any others that reach a natural end point. BREXIT gave the trustees an increased enthusiasm for projects that include the countries of the EU, our erstwhile compatriots, and possibilities are being examined researched and planned. The first part of a Cultural Encyclopaedia of Europe was completed in France over the winter. A new trustee, representing the artists and intended to engage with youth was inducted at the AGM. There is an intention to add a bank signatory also for ease of operation.
