The trustees present their report with the financial statement5 of the tharity for the year
ended 31 December 2024. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and
Reporting by Charities - Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charitie5
preparing their accounts in according with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable In
the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS1021 (effective l January 20191

The Charity objects are:
To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement of Faith in such
ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the World as the Trustees from
time to time ihink fit..
To relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preSe￿e 8ood health
by the provision of funds. goods or services of any kind. Including throu8h the
provision of counselling and support in such parts of the UK or the world as the
Trustee5 from time to time think fit;
To advance education in such ways and in such parts of the UK or the world as the
Trustees from time to time think fit;
Actlvltles. Performance and Athlevements
Bethesda Baptist Church continues to be active both in it5 re8ular church activities and in
the Provision of service and support to the community at lar8e.
In addrtion to the regular church activities, through the facilities offered by the buildin8
extension, we are able to offer the followin8=
Men's meeting once per month on a Saturday,
Drop In centre
Tuesday evenin8 rneal for those lonely in community
Community visitation to the house bound
Commvnity Hymn 5inwn8 in the homes and housin8 accommodation centres.
Youth meetin8 teena8er5
Community act•vities have continued with the senlor citizen coffee mornin& the listenin8
post. craft group5, and the dance group for well-bein8. Several other Socleties make use of
the premises for their re8ular meetin85.
Communlty en8a8ement ha5 been developed further wlth hosting the Narberth School
Ha￿eSt. Christmas Service and holdin8 the singin8 festival In February.
New tethnolo8y has made it mofe Inclusive for those attendin8 With hearln8 and 518ht and
disabled issues.

Public Benefft
The Trustees have had re8ard to the Charity Commissions guidance on public benefit.
Flnandal Revlew
Bethesda Baptist Church Narberth recorded a deficit in the year of £26.723 {2023- Deficit-
£27.0871. It is appropriate to note here that the afore mentioned deficit is calculated after
depreciation charges on the buildin8 Structure of £26.ILYI12023 - £26,ICKII. Sustainin8
income at levels sufficient to meet our expenditure continues to be a challenge. Members
and friends Continue to be very supportive and lO8￿her with polential income generation
from the church extension. the trustees are satisfied with the financial prospects. The
balance sheet demonstrates a stron8 Position.
Free reserves are resep4es available to the charity that are readily convertible into cash and
may be used for non-restrirted purposed. As at the year end, our free reserves amounted
to £84.570 {2023- £83,362). This equates to approximately 0.8S times our annual charitable
expenditure.
The trustees are satisfied that these accounts should be prepared on the Goin8 Concern
basis.
Rlsk Management
Risk management has been reviewed in terms of child protection policies. rlsk assessments
of events and trips. the undertaking of Criminal Record Bureau checks and health and safety
issues. The trustees feel that they have taken all reasonable steps to protect beneficiaries,
staff, volunteers and the organi5ation itself.
Financial risks have been reviewed and procedures put in place accordingly. A reserrfes
policy has been established in line with the identified risks.
Strurture. Governance and Management
Bethesda Baptist Church has existed in Narberth for over 21YJ years. It is an independent
Baptist church is an unincorporated organisation, 8overned by an updated Constitution
which was adopted by the church members on 12th September 2011. It was 8ranted charity
status by the Charity Commission on 2nd February 2012, but funrtioned as an unregistered
charity prior to this date. A separate document entitled Church Covenants Guidelines and
Roles coverin8 more detall ofthe covenants of faith and membership subscribed to by
members of the church was issued in February 2013.
There is one paid worker, the minister/pastor of the church who is responsible for preachin8
and teachin8the truths of God's Word. leading the worship of God and other pastoral
duties. The managing trustees are responstble for the mana8ement of the charity. They

choose from amon8St themselves a secretary and a treasurer. The latter is responsible for
keepin8 all financial records and accounts and reportin8 them to the other trusteÈs.
The managing trustees fonn Ihe finance committee and are consulted on all aspects of
accountin& policies and procedures and are involved in the decision-makin8 re8arding the
day-to-day runnln8 of the church.
Appolntment of Management Trustees
Management trustees are appointed as set out in the Constitution and Guidelines and Roles
documents. The minimum number of mana8ement trustees is three individuals with a
maximum number determined by the Minister depending upon the needs of the church at
the time. All mana8ement trust￿ must be members of the church and must subscribe and
adhere to the Statement of Faith, in belief and lifestyle.
As part of their Induction all Mana8in8 Truslees are CRB checked as appropriate to thelr
work within the church and are shown the relevant documentation re8ardin8 the running of
the charity.
Statement of Commlttee of Management Responslbllltles
Charity law requires the trustees to Pfepare financial statements for each financlal year
which 8ive a true and fair vbew of the state of the charlty and of its flnancial artivitles for
that period. In preparin8 those financial statements the trustees are required to:
{1) Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently,
lill Make jud8ements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent..
(liil Prepare the financial statement5 on the 80ing concern basis unless it is inappropriate to
assume that the charity will continue in business.
The trustee5 are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to
ensure that the financial statements comply with applicable Accountin8 Standards and the
re8ulations made under the Charities Act. The trustees are also responsible for safe8uardin8
the assets of the charity and hence for takin8 reasonable steps for the prevention and
detection of fraud Of Other irTe8ularities.

I report to the trustees on my examlnatron of the accounts of the charity for the year ended
31st December 2024, which are set out on pa8es 6 to 13
Respmsibilities and basis of rep
As the charbty's trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirernents of the Charities Act 2011 {"the Act").
I report in re41ert of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145
of the Act and in carrying out my examination. I have followed all the applicable Dirertions
8iven by the Charity Comrnis5ion under section 145{5)(bl of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my
attention in connection with the examination which 8ives me cause to believe that in. any
material respect:
the accountiVl8 records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities
Art: or
the accounts did not accord with the accountin8 records: or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the fom
and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Re8ulation5
2CX)8 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fairf view which
is not a matter considered as part of afi independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the
examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a
proper understandin8 of the accounts to be reached.
