1.0 Introduction

The Trustees present their annual report and financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31st December 2025. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practices (SORP) ‘Accounting and reporting by charities’ issued in March 2005 in preparing the report and financial statement of the charity

1.1 Public Benefit Statement

The Trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 4 of the Charites Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit "Charites and Public Benefit".

1.2 Structure, Governance and Management

The Redeemed Christian Church of God Hope Chapel Manchester (RCCG Hope Chapel) is a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. This is a network comprised of churches all over the world. There is an agreement of common purposes entered into by RCCG Hope Chapel Manchester with the Redeemed Christian Church of God which documents this relationship.

Registered in 2012, it is governed by a Trust Deed and is controlled by a board of trustees whose members are appointed as set out in the constitution of the charity. Membership of the Board of Trustees consists of 3 individuals appointed by the charity who are of high spiritual and moral standing.

1.3 Objectives and Activities

The charities main objects are:

It pursues these objects by the operation of a centre for Christian worship currently located at 958/960 Stockport Road, Manchester and through other community-based events aimed at reaching out the un-churched members of the community.

As a local parish our motto is “restoring hope to humanity through the Holy Spirit”. This reinforces our focus on less privilege, drug addict, jobless, families, young adults and children. We believe that

strong families are the building blocks of stronger communities, and strong community clusters are in turn the backbone of cohesive society and nations. We seek to achieve this by encouraging a culture of faith and prayer within our community through our Sunday celebration/prayer services and Wednesday bible study meeting. ”

1.4 Achievements and Performance

NEW YEAR THANKSGIVING

New Year thanksgiving was held on Sunday, 5th of January 2025. There were great excitements in the church being the first Sunday and the first day of the year. There were a lot of testimonies and all kinds of appreciations from different members and with great hope for a better a year ahead.

JOB EXPOSITION PROGRAMME

The Youth arm of the church organized a job exposition programme which was held on January 18th, 2025, virtually with high numbers of participants.

2025 WOMEN OF HOPE SEMINAR

The women arm of the church organised a seminar on Saturday 8[th] February 2025 tagged The Importance of Home management. They were taught various aspect of home management which are useful for their families.

TEENS CAREER AWARENESS SUNDAY

The church organised teens career awareness Sunday on the 16th of February,2025. some professionals including the pastor took time to sensitise them on the choice of career as some of them are in the college and preparing to go to the university. They were all extremely blessed and helped them to take a better decision.

TEENS PRAYER CONFERENCE

There was a prayer conference organized on Saturday 22[nd] of February for the teenagers between ages 13-15 years with the theme ‘Teach us To Pray Lord’. They were taught how to pray and the potency of prayers. They were blessed and their lives were impacted.

HOPE CHAPEL 14[TH] YEAR ANNIVERSARY

The church held her 14[th] year anniversary between 8[th] and 9[th ] March 2025. It was tagged NO MORE LIMITATION; a guest minister was invited. The period was a moment of great reflection of God’s faithfulness and glory, every participants were blessed

TEENAGERS’ BAKE SALE

Some set of teenagers (The chosen Generation) organized bake sales to commemorate the 14[th] year anniversary. They used the medium to raise funds for the church. Parents and other worshippers were impressed with the initiative

2025 MOTHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

Mothers’ day was celebrated in the church, all the women were dressed in their native attires, they were celebrated by their husbands and children. There was a great excitement in the church, and everyone was blessed

WOMEN OF HOPE SEMINAR

The women of the church held a programme on the 12[th] of April tagged ‘marriage matters. The event exposed the women to various issues that affect marriages and homes and ways to deal with those issues. It was actually a fun time for them.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

This year children’s day celebration was marked on the 26th of May, 2024 . It was a fun fair for all the children that were in attendance. They were all excited

EASTER SUNDAY PROGRAMME

The church organized an Easter Sunday programme in the church on 20th of April 2025 to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it was awesome moment in the presence of God

LIGHT UP MANCHESTER

Light up Manchester is an evangelism outreach organized by the church, and the one for the month of April 2025 was held on Sunday 27[th] . Every member of the church went out for evangelism; unsaved souls were reached out to.

LEADERSHIP AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT .

The youths of the church organised a leadership and career development progamme on 3[rd] of May 2025 for the youths tagged ‘Growing in Faith and Finances, it opened the eyes of the youths and some of the teenagers to different ligitimate areas to make money and be financially independent

MENTAL HEALTH

The Women of Hope Organised a Mental Health seminar workshop to educate members on the imprtance of mental health.

CHOSEN GENERATION OUTING

The Teens department of the church put together a programe titled Movie and Popcorn Sunday for the Teens in the church on 11[th] of May 2025. It was a fun Service for them and they were quite excited. They all enjoyed it and looked forward for more of such.

WORKERS RETREAT 2025

The church authority organized a one- day workers retreat on Saturday 17th May 2025 for the church workers. It was a great time of revival and blessing for every participant

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION 2025

This year’s children’s day celebration was marked on the 24[th-25th] of May,2025. It was a fun fair for all the children that were in attendance. They went to Blackpoll Park as part of the celebration, and it was rounded off on Sunday.

YOUTH CHURCH INAUGURAL SERVICE

Hope Chapel officially inaugurated Destiny Youth Church (DYC) —a vibrant space created for young people to freely express their faith, gifts, and passion for God. The atmosphere was alive with purpose, energy, and hope, marking the beginning of something truly special. It’s an incredible initiative, and we eagerly anticipate all that God is set to accomplish through this movement as lives are transformed and destinies are awakened.

RCCG MANCHESTER FOOTBALLTOURNAMENT 2025

The Redeemed Christian Church in Manchester hosted its annual football tournament on Saturday, 14th June 2025, bringing together churches in a spirit of unity and sportsmanship. Hope Chapel Men proudly took part in the event, which was filled with fun, laughter, and genuine fellowship. The atmosphere of friendship and healthy competition made the day truly, memorable, leaving all participating churches eager and excited for even more in the years to come.

FATHERS’DAY 2025

This year fathers’ day was celebrated on 15[th] June ,2025 in the church. The men were celebrated by the women by taken over the entire service while the men were made to sit and enjoyed the service. Gifts were also presented to all the men. It was a memorable occasion

MID-YEAR PRAISE 2025

This year mid-year praise was a street one, it was held in the city centre on 21[st] of June 2025. The presence of God was felt, all passers-by participated, they were dancing as the praise was on going. It was a huge success.

2025 MARRIAGE CONFERENCE

This year annual marriage conference was held on Saturday 28[th] of June. Couples in the church gathered , many aspects of family and marriage were touched and several questions were raised ,and the answers given were helpful.

TEENS SUNDAY

Teens Sunday was held on 29th of June 2025, the entire service was anchored by the teens, all parents were happy seeing the teens playing great roles in a Sunday service and everyone was

blessed .

2025 PASTORS APPRECIATION WEEK

Pastors’ appreciation week was observed in the church between 30[th] of June and 6[th] of July. Members reached out to the pastor in different ways to say thank you for their roles in the church .

WOMEN OF HOPE RETREAT 2025

The women of the church had a three-day retreat outside the church between 18[th] and 20th of July where they invited a guest minister, they had great time in God’s presence and also had fun.

BARBECUE 2025

The church hosted its annual barbecue on 26th July 2025 at a park close to the church, and it was a resounding success. A large number of church members, along with people from the local community, came out to celebrate together. The event was vibrant and colorful, filled with great food, joyful conversations, and a wonderful spirit of togetherness.

2025 HOUSE FELLOWSHIP AWARENESS SUNDAY

The church held her annual house fellowship awareness Sunday 27[th] of July. A lot of events took place such as kahoot, bible quiz and sword drill. It was colourful and every participant was happy and the entire church was blessed.

MANCHESTER TEENS/CHILDREN BIBLE QUIZ COMPETITION 2025

The teenagers and children took part in a quiz competition organized by a Christian body in Manchester on 6th September, delivering an outstanding performance that reflected their dedication, knowledge, and enthusiasm.

MEN OF HOPE RETREAT

The men of the church embarked on a two-day retreat at Pine Lake Resort, Carnforth, from 19th to 21st September 2025. It was a meaningful time of fellowship, bonding, and relaxation. A guest minister joined the retreat online to minister, and his session was a great blessing to all. The experience was enriching and refreshing, leaving participants eagerly looking forward to the next retreat.

STUDENTS WELCOME WEEK 2025

The church organised a on week welcome event, it was a medium through which new university students that just resumed were invited to the church and also use it to preach Christ to all students within the school community.

10[TH] YEAR WOMEN OF HOPE ANNIVERSARYCONFENCE

The women of the church celebrated their 10th anniversary on 25th and 26th September under the theme “Rising Strong.” Two guest speakers were invited, and the turnout was impressive. The conference was powerful, uplifting, and truly memorable for all who attended.

MEN OF HOPE ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The men’s conference, themed “Man Be Free,” was a powerful and eye-opening event. Key topics such as men’s mental health, wealth, and sustainability were thoughtfully addressed. A guest minister led the sessions, openly engaging with questions and challenges surrounding manhood, leaving participants enlightened, encouraged, and empowered.

A SPECIAL SUNDAY PROGRAMME

A special Sunday program was held on 9th November 2025, during which a pastor with expertise in insurance was invited to minister. He guided the congregation through an insightful teaching session on financial stewardship, highlighting how individuals can invest and secure their finances through various insurance policies .

DIVINE REMEMBRANCE 2025

The church hosted a special program on 23rd November 2025 titled Divine Remembrance. A guest minister was invited, and through his powerful ministration, every worshipper was richly blessed and uplifted

TEENS SUNDAY

The Teens unit of the church organized a program on Sunday 30[th] of November 2025 with the theme: The Salt of The Earth. The Teens were in charge of the entire service; it was an avenue for them to showcase their God giving talents. Parents were excited seeing their children taking over the pulpit.

2025 END OF THE YEAR PRAISE

This year end of the year praise was held on the 13[th] of December. It was a time in which every attendee expresses their heart of gratitude to God in singing and dancing. The presence of God was present and felt. Every attendee left the program rejoicing and happy .

MEN OF HOPE END OF THE YEAR HANGOUT

The men of the church had a get together on 20[th] of December 2025 tagged Christmas Gala. They used the event to honour outstanding members in different capacities, and it was a time of bonding and fun

2025 CHRISTMAS JUMPER SUNDAY

This year’s Christmas jumper Sunday was observed on 21[st] of December 2025. The day doubled as workers appreciation Sunday . Every member of the church was

gifted that Sunday, it was a happy day for every member .

This year’s Christmas carol was exceptional; all sections were represented by presenting special carol songs. The turnout was highly encouraging, and everyone was blessed

2025 CROSS OVER SERVICE

The crossover service was held on the final day of the year, featuring a guest artist whose ministration added great depth to the night. It was a powerful and memorable experience, with many testimonies recorded as worshippers crossed over into the new year, 2026, under the inspiring theme “Soaring Higher.”

1.6 Risk Management

The trustees are quite satisfied with the management of the finances to fulfil the charity’s objectives despite the unpredictable nature of our income.

The trustees actively review the major risks which the charity faces on a regular basis. The trustees have examined the major strategic, business and operational risks which the charity faces and confirm that systems have been established to enable regular reports to be produced so that the necessary steps can be taken to lessen these risks including DBS checks on all volunteers working with children.

1.7 Financial Review

During the year to 31st December 2025, the church had a total income of £245,888. At the year end, the level of cash reserves available for the charity’s use (excluding fixed assets) was £353,376. Total operating charitable expenditure was £208,348 giving an operating surplus of £37,540.

The Charity’s principal funding sources are the individuals who attend the church services and partner with the ministry via monthly donations.

1.8 Reserve Policy

The Trustees are aware of the need to establish a reserves policy to maintain a balance on unrestricted funds and are working to achieve a desired level of funds of about 30-35% of the gross income.

1.9 Volunteers

The number of volunteers in 2025 was relatively stable. Some had to relocate to their home country after the expiry of their visas. Active volunteers are about 60 and passive about 10.

2.0 Trustees’ Responsibilities

The trustees are responsible for preparing the annual report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.

Company law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the net income or expenditure of the charity for the year. In preparing these financial statements the trustees are required to:

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable

accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

Accounting Policies

Scope and Basis of the Financial Statements

The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with applicable accounting standards and the Statement of Recommended Practice Accounting and Reporting by Charities published in March 2005.

Income

Revenue is recognised in the period in which the charity is entitled to receipt once the amount can be measured with reasonable certainty.

Expenses

Expenditure is included in the Statement of Financial Activities (SoFA) on an accruals basis and is recognised at the point when a legal or constructive obligation arises. The majority of costs are directly attributable to specific activities. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.

Fixed assets

Fixed assets with an individual purchase of £300 or more are capitalised and stated at cost less depreciation which is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of each asset over its expected useful life as follows:
