It has been a ￿ry Suc￿Ss￿l year for our pre-school we contiwe to work
and plan with healthy bank ￿lanceS.
As I tjm now Worki￿ full time, it is not as easy to vi$it the setting, however I
have been able to keep in close contact virtually and am happy that the
accodnts are in excellent shope, and dujble checked by both the n￿l￿ger and
deputy in the settiThJ.

VK often reflect on where ￿ ho￿ come from and how we ha￿ evolved.
So that you can share an understandiThJ of J￿r1EY I th￿ght I
'W￿ld give Y￿ a little insight into the b(￿kgr¢￿￿￿ of Buttor6 and Bows.
Buttons and Bows. o charity. has come a loTrJ way in recent years.
Established in 1994 it vKts origirnlly located in the Old School Hall, a
shared community E￿ildi1￿j and was a pack away setting (resources and
equipment set up each morniThJ ¢)nd packed away each afternoon). This
was Mt a barrier to myself ¢v)d my staff who worked tirelessly to
recei￿ Jjr f irst OUSTANDIN6 OFSTED rotiTrJ in 2010, we ha￿ since
receiNEd a further three OUTSTANDING ratings, the most recent
being in Febrn(ry of 2020. just before the C￿Jntry ￿nt into lockdown.

two play rooms, namirg them Buttons room and Bows room and this has

children are thrivirKJ arKI the staff are delighted with the woy of
working, SO this is Mw ¢wr w normal.
Currently we ha￿ 43 children on register, made up of 20 boys and
23 girls. We ha￿ 2 children with additioMI rEeds. both of whom have
Education health Care Pl¢ms in the process of application. We have I
Child with English as an additiornl languoje. We ho￿ 18 children due to
start in Jdrwry. o large proportion of whom are 2 years old. $0 it's

We furKlrnise locally to provide new resources arKI ewipment for ￿r
children, and with 43 children on I￿r re9iSter. soon to be increasin9 to
61, ￿ $tri* to prowde wrposeful and challeThJiThJ leariyThJ experiences,
which rewire updatiAg tJfKI replenishi￿ res¢Jurces. We are lookiry for
creative ideas to fvndraise ¥irtually. ond at ¢)ur first committee
meetirg, which will be within a month from today, we will discuss this at
more letNJth. Having said that ￿r 'li¥e' Christmas raff le last w was a
uge success and we wil I do this again this yEOr.
As our li¥es have re￿rned to a more normal. TAE have started to, and
will contiNe to offer a wide raThJe of access for all of our users.

we are today.
