l am pleased to report that it has been another SUC￿$ful year for pre-
school ¢Md contiNe to work and pl(Jn with healthy ba￿£ balances.
Again it has been difficult to visit the pre-school regularly this year ckne to
the pandemic hO￿*Ver I have been able to keep in close Contact Virtually ard
am hthy that the aCt￿ntS are in excellent shape. and d¢Juble checked by
both the ff￿nager dnd dewty in the settiw.

It is great to see all on zoom to >wpport our W￿fvI pr<-$chool.
As we have celebrated ¢Jur fourth ¢Yw)i￿rsary in this wonderful Lwilding,
often ref lect on where have come from and h¢)w we have eVol￿d.
So that y¢Ju can share an understarKliw of {￿r j(wrry I thJJght I
w{￿ld gi￿ YC￿ a little insight into the backgr(wNI of Buttons and Bows.
Jttons and Bows, a chority. has c¢Jffle a loThJ way in recent years.
Established in 1994 it origimlly located in the Old School Hall. o
shared community bui Idiry <md ￿ a pack aw￿ setting (resources and
ewipment set up each morniThJ ¢]nd packed away each afternoon). This
was not a barrier to myself and my staff who worked tirelessly to
receive first OUSTANDING OFSTEt> rating in 2010. ￿ ha* since
recei¥ed a fvrther three OUTSTANDIKE ratings, the most ￿nt
being in February of last year. just bef<)re the c￿￿try went into
lockdown. And what an 18 months it has been! whole lives disnipted
and children's r￿tI￿$ and normality tur￿1 upside down. I am very
pr¢Jud that we. as a settiThJ Contir￿ed to open. Thrw9hout the process.

te(yn we arE thriviry and some g¢)od has come out of the pardemic for
us in the settiThJ. We iiytidly split the Settl￿ in half. ruhniw out of the
two play rooms. them Buttons r&)m and Bows room and this has
ethanced our practice a great deal. We continje to work this way. the
' chi Idren are thriviThJ the staff are delighted with the rEw way of
workiry. so this is rh)w nornidl.
Currently we haNe 41 children on register. made up of 19 boys and
22 gi rls. We ha￿ 4 children with additiornl ￿d$. these are largely
speech arKI l(ywJuage. of whom a E.H.A referral hds been ma&. and
another we are gdtherirg ev7dence to mak We haNe 3 children with
E￿lISh as additional low￿￿.
We fundraise locally to provide ￿ resources and ewipment for
children, and with 41 children on our register. which is e￿r increasiThJ
with our vi Ilage population growirmj. strive to provide purposeful and
chaI￿n91￿ learniThJ experierw. which require updatiry and
plenishiThJ reScAJr￿$. We are lookirmj f¢yr ¢reatiNE ideas to fvndraise
virtually, and at c￿r first committee meetiNJ, which will be within a
month from today, ￿ will discuss this at more length. HaviNJ said that
r 'live' Christmas raff le last year was a h¥ success and we will do
this again this year.
LookirKJ back on the past 18 month$ up until March 2020, TAE offered a
wide rary of access for all of I￿r users. ContiN1￿ with ¢Jur weekeTh
'open session4 which are wery popular (Jnd well atterded. We joined the
anNal remembrance d(w parade, the carnival ¢Jnd sports 4 dl, and hope
to be able to resume this when rtstrictions allow. Consjltations will take
