**Objects:** To promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of agricultural and amenity land in rural areas; to promote the conservation of the physical and natural environment by promoting biodiversity; to promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public by the preservation, conservation and the protection of the environment and the prudent use of resources; to advance the education of the public in subjects relating to sustainable development and the protection, enhancement and rehabilitation of the environment and to promote study and research in such subjects provided that the useful results of such study are disseminated to the public at large; the preservation for the benefit of the nation of lands and tenements (including buildings) of beauty or historic interest and, as regards lands, for the preservation (as far as practicable) of their natural aspect, features and animal and plant life. Sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

**Activities:** Promote conservation and biodiversity improvement of agricultural/amenity land in North Cornwall. Provide public benefit and education by allowing access to land where such is possible. Monitoring of local water vole and mink populations and maintained public access to Kilkhampton Common.
