## 1[st] Ninfield and Crowhurst Scout Group Trustee’s Report August 24 – July 25

The Scout groups aim to equip young people with the skills they need for life. Through adventurous activities and teamwork, they focus on personal development—building character, practical skills, and confidence—to empower individuals to make a positive contribution to their local and global communities.

There are 5 groups a week (term time) from ages 4-18: Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, scouts and Explorers.

The scout group were taken on a trip to Flanders Field in Belgium October 24 to see the war memorials and take part in Scout parades for Remembrance. This was funded by fundraising and parent contributions.

Most funds come from Subs collected monthly from Parents, although this year they have not been fully collected due to personal matters of the previous Treasurer.

The current treasurer plans to recoup these funds and get as many parents as possible on a payment plan to keep them coming in regularly.

Fundraising is done for certain events when needed, ie. Flanders trip.

We currently do not have any reserve funds.

This Scout Group is led by Chair Rosemary Cooper and recruiting is done mostly via word of mouth to parents/carers etc.

We have enough leaders for the ratio required who have all completed a DBS check and training.

The Trustee for some of this year was Richard Creasey who stepped down in November 24 and Joanne Rossi took over, aided by Richard.
