Preschool Preschool is[is] continuing continuing to[to] deliver deliver very very high-quality high-quality care care & & education. education. We We have have 8[8] members members of of staff staff and and have have recently recently taken taken on on Nikki[Nikki] doing doing her her nvq2 nvq2 apprenticeship, apprenticeship, she she has has settled settled in[in] well well and and the[the] children children have have[really] really taken taken to[to][her.] her. We We have have Lia Lia Volunteering Volunteering[in] in her her spare spare time,[time,] hoping hoping to[to] offer offer her her an an apprenticeship apprenticeship when when she she finishes finishes school school if[if][this] this[is] is something something she she still still wants wants by[by][then.] then. Gracie Gracie[is] is due due to to go go on on Maternity Maternity leave leave in in February February 2026, 2026, and and Emma Emma is is due due back back from from Maternity Maternity in in May May 26 26 Part Part of of our our LA LA inspection inspection is is due due at at the the beginning beginning of of December, December, to to focus focus on on safeguarding safeguarding But But | I am am confident, confident, this this will will go go well. well. Staff Staff are are continuously continuously training training[to] to enhance enhance their[their] own own personal personal development. development. All All staff staff are are working working well well together, together, supporting supporting & & valuing valuing each each other other which which is is fantastic. fantastic. We We have have a a fabulous fabulous team!![team!!] Children Children numbers numbers are are steady steady this this term term with[with][37] 37 children children on on[roll.] roll. With With[5] 5 new new children children starting[starting] with[with] us us in in January, January, and and more more on on the the waiting waiting list list for for Easter. Easter. Staff Staff are are willing willing[to] to up up[their] their hours hours[to] to cover cover[ratios,] ratios, dependant dependant on on child child numbers numbers moving moving forward.[forward.] We We have have an an extremely extremely high[high] number number of of SEN SEN children children currently currently around around 43%[43%][of the] of the cohort,[cohort,] which which is[is] extremely extremely challenging, challenging, 4[4] of of the[the] children children are are[in] in[the] the EHCP EHCP process, process, 2[2] of of these these children children have have delayed[delayed] starting starting FS2.
