The College of Medicine's purpose as set out in Ihe objects of the Companys memorandum of a$soclatlon 1$ to
advance health for the public benefit.

in the issues surrounding heatth. The Council. Trustees and Ihe Execubve have conlinued with the ddivery ol online
events and activities showrasing inleractive way5 of supporting our communty. in addition to planning tsce-to-f8ce
events lor 2025126. Online events have includeij lrfe5tyle rnedicine. hypnother8py and yoga as well as daily
exercise sessions. In a¢JdrtKsn, the College has provided a number of discrete webinars on a range of topics.
While we still advocate that there needs to be a new attitude lo healihcare.. one which forges partnerships across
soaety and emphasises prevention and a muMF1￿1ed approach. our main focus in (he past year has been on how
we can best 5UPPOrt our membership through Ihese unsettling times of conflicts across the globe. and econornic
uncertainly.
The Trustees have provided a strong StructU￿d govemance approach alongside tsngtsing support from the College
and rts members and supporters. They have continue¢J to undertake a govemance review of all ol the teachers and
educators that have been helping to strengthen the College's educalion offering. There has been a focus to ensure
that third party collaborators share ihe College's values and lo WO￿ on building membership.

Physiotherapist and HCPC registered member. who also serves as a Trustee and Council Member of the
College.
From April 2025- Integrative Herbal Medicine Clinic at Whipps Cross Hospital. An opportunity for medical
and other dinicians to observe onlintr, every second Wednesday, led ty College rnefflber and medi¢al
herbalist Alex Laird.
From Aprll 2025- three days of free praclice for College members as part of the trial membership at the
Qigong Academy, run by College member John Millar.
25th Aprll 2025- From Surviving lo Thriving in Ihe NHS.. A Weekend for Qualified Health Professionals. A
series of retreats supported by the College. and led by College members Derek and Sandy Chase. both
experienced NHS professionals.

A Commonweatth Young Leaders Summrt was hekl kn February 2026 at Wndsor Castle. The
Commonwealth Young Hearth Leaders Fellowship and the Commonwearth Leadership Institute (Healthl.
These initiatives aim to provide platfornis for young leaders lo advance ongoing dialogues on health, foster
innovation, and forge partnerships lo enhance Ihe well.being ol the Commonwealth's 1.6 billion young
people.
The College has been invofved in the Future He8lth Leaijers Programme.. an iniliative aimed at cultivating
the next gèner8tion ol hÈalth¢arè lèad&rs. This year-long prtsgram indudès virtual sessions and ¢ulminale$
in a tw¢>day event at Wndsor Castle. Participants engaged with renowned speakers. collaborated on
future projects, and received mentorship to enhance their leadership capabilrties.

Membership levels rematned steady during the year. conb'nurng to contribute both financialty and by raising
awarenes5 of the movement. Gross mernbership income for the year Wd5 just under £20.725. representing 8 drop
of just over £3,000 compared with the previous year. This reflected a lower number of membership renewals and
the provision of complimentary memberships lollowng the I&PM Congress.

Vitabiotics, Nelsons, and a number ol privale donations have Ènabled the College to deliver its aims of creating and
promoting sustainable hearthcare through supporting and delivering educational events lo demonstrate "what good

Future Health Leaders Projects.

The College ol Medicine Is a private company limrted by guarantee incorporated in England and Wales. The
registered Offi￿ is Nile House. Nile Street. Brighton. BN1 1 HW.
1.1 8asiB of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance wth the charity's goveming document, the
Companies Act 2006. FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland" I"FRS 102.1 and the Charibes SORP "Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Staternent ol
Recommended Pr8Ctice applicable to chari¢ie5 preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financi81
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and RepubliG of Ireland IFRS 1021. leffe(aive 1 January 20191. The
charity Is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
The charity has taken advantage of the provisions in the SORP for charities not to prepare a Stat￿ent of
Cash Flows.
The financial statements are prepared in steding. which is the funcl￿nal cuT￿nCY of the charity. Monetary
amounts in these fin8n¢ial s18ltrmenls a￿ rounded lo the ntr8rest £.
The financial statements have been prepared under Ihè hlstori¢al ¢o$t convèntion. Th8 princlpal accounting
policies adopted are set out below.
1.2 Golng concern
At the time of approvSn9 the finanual slatèmenls, the trustees havè a raasonable expectatlon that thè cha￿ty
has adequate resources to continue in operational exislence for the foreseeable future. Thus th& trustees
continue to adopt the going concem basis of accounbng in preparing the financsal statements.
1.3 Charltobl• fund$
Unrestricted funds are available for use al the di5CTeiion ol the trustees in furtherance of their charitable
objectives.
Restricted funds are subject to speufic conditions by donors or grantors as to how they may be used. The
purposes and uses of the re5tricled fvnds are set out in the notes to the financAal staternents.
1.4 Income
Incomè is recognised when thè charity is legally enlrtled to it after any perftsmance conditions have bèen met,
the amounts can be measured reliably, and it is probable that income wll be recei¥ed.
Cash donations are recognised on receipt. Olher donations are ie¢x)gnised once the charity has been nots'fied
