The trustees who are also directors of the charity for the purposes of the Companies Act 2006, present their report wlh
the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 30 June 2024. The Iruslees have adopted the provisions of
Accounting and Reporbng by Charities.. Slalement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their
accounts in accordance with the Finanoal Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021
(effective 1 January 20191
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and alms
The charity's objectives are..
lo advance the arts and culture lor the public benefit, in particular bul not exdusively in Haywards Heath and the wider
Mid Sussex area.. and
lo further such other charilable purpose5 for the public benefit as are exdusively charitable armrding lo the Laws of
England and Wales as the Trustees may from time to lime determine.
The charities main activities lo further the tharity's purposes for the public b8nefil are the sponsorship of local events
and leading a campaign to save the Ir)cal community ￿ntre, Clair Hall.
The Trustees have referrèd to the guidan￿ contained in the Charity's Commission's general guidan￿ on public benefit
when reviewing OLJr aims and objectives and in planning our future activities.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Durin9 the year, the charty paid venue fees for local events., and it paid marketing and consukancy fees relating lo the
preservation of Clair Hall.
FINANCIAL REVIEW

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basls of preparlng the flnanclal Statements
The financial ststemenls of the charitable company, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been
prepa￿d in accordan￿ with the Charities SORP IFRS 102} 'Accountsng and Reporting by Charitiès.. Slalement
of Reojmmènded Practice applicable to charities preparing the￿r 8ccounls in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Irelarid IFRS 1021 {effective 1 January 2019).. Financial
Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Rep)rtsng Standard applicable in the UK and Reptjblic of Ireland, and the
Companies Ad 2￿. The financial statements have been prepared under thè historical cost convention.
Golng concern
The charity continues lo have sufficient cash to meet ils liabilities. Therefore, the Trustees are satisfied that the
finanaal statements are preparèd on a going concern basis.
Income
A11 income is re¢ognlsed in the Slalemenl of Finan(yal Activities onts the charity has entillemenl to the ftjnds, it
is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured Teliably. The

Donations and legaw income is received by way of donations and gifts and is includéd In full in the statement of
financial activities when receivable.
Expendlture
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the

the amount of the oblig81ion can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and
