The Governing Body Is self-appointing, wth retirements agreers by mutual ègreement. New members of the
Governing 8ody are eletted on the bèsis of nominations from the Governors 3nd the executive officers based L
the candidat&, professional qualities, experiÈnce, personal iompetence and lo￿1 avail3bility. Members of the
Governing Body atiend external trustee training and inf¢rmation courses designed to keep them informed and
updated on current i55ues in the sector and regul3tory requirements.

New Governors are inducted into the management of the School, which includes Governin8 Body policy and
procedure5. by briefings organised by the Head and Bursar. Where appropriate, new Governors attend specific
external courses on the role and resptrnsibiliiies of tharity trustee5.
Organisational management
The members ol the Governin8 Body, as the charty trustees, are legally respongible for the overall managernent
nd control of thÈ School.They meet as a body at leastthree tsmes a year. The work ol Implementing theirpolicies

The Finance/General PurposeslAudit Committee strurinises rerfenue, the budget, capital expenditure
and staff remuneration. Th15 Committee also supervise$ and flnalises the audiied fin3ncial statements
and annual report for approval by the Governing Body. The ComTnittee is ch3ired by the Chairman of
Finance and General Purposes.
The EducationlAcademic Cornmittee w35 established in Autumn 2022 to review the 3c3demic policy ol

events. ￿ well as the alwJys-popu13r Festwe and Summer Fair5, both of which attr3tted hundreds of people onto
our campus, there h3s been 2 multitude of other special events for our famili￿ to enjoy, includin8 coffee
rnornings, quiz evenlngs, tir5t aid classes. second-hand uniform sales and much else besides. The FIPS Committee
also prowde5 fulsome support to the School at open events and alike.
FIPS has also been very active In terms of its ch3rit3ble activitie5. It has continued to run 3 laudable matched
Ivnding scheme which supports mernbers of the pupil community who ae undertaking ch3ritable work
moreover. it has given generously, both to local community orgzni53tions and to the various departments ol the
