been making plans alongside lawyers. architects and the It)cal

Church is slill growing and we are recognising the changing
nature of Crewe in people moving in and out and shift work af-
fecling regular attendance. Having said that v4e are still growing
and an InGreasing number are serving in Church. It is a wonder-
ful mix of life and nationalities and backgfounds and ages We
had a team of Interns for an outreach week in Seplernber. who
served the local area and church and helped us with oulreaGh in
Crewe town centre.
There were a number of 'special' services. such as the Interna-
tional Sunday. where we celebrated the 20 or so nalionalilies
. worshipping with us There was also a harvest service followed
by a soup lunch and the money was given lo Tear Fund. The
Carol service was vlell attended and many friends and family
joined us for that.

where we worship, pray, study the Bible and support one anoth-
er. Prayer meetings are held weekly on a Tuesday morning and
fortnighlly in the evening. which are always encouraging. As we
have had fewer asylum seekers In Church we have been able lo
pray wilhoul needing translation The Farsi Bible study has still
continued to help those in Crewe to grow in their faith.
Hope Cafe. the asylum seek8r ministry. was blessed with a
grant from Bentley for the second year. which has enabled us lo
provide for the needs of those who attend. We regulafly see 80
people who come for help and advice and support. 11 is still
place of laughler and we have been able lo help many in their
Iransilions from hotel lo rented accommodation and into job5.
Love Crewe has been holding regular celebrations which has
united many churches and believers. The monthly leaders lunch
is a source of information and connection for all. We were able lo
take part In the town Light Switch on and point lo the real mean-
Ing of Christmas. The service in Queen's park saw more
churches taking part and we are enjoying the unity between us.
There was a week's mission by the Message Academy who went
inlo schools and took part in youth groups and the park service
The youth work now has a new team, which has grown over the
year and Ihe numbers attending similady. The kids work has a
strong team and lols of ¢hildren and the creche has become
vital part of Sundays for many.
