REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31[ST] DECEMBER 2021
The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31[st] December 2021. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standards applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective from 1[st] January 2019).
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing Document – the charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), which is registered with the Charity Commission, and is controlled and governed in accordance with its Constitution dated 29[th] December 2021. The Committee members are the trustees of the CIO and they collectively, or via a specific sub-committee, organise projects such as Winter Talks, Exhibition, Research, Web Site and Dining Club.
OBJECTS
The object of the CIO is:
The promotion for the public benefit of the local heritage of Aberaeron and the surrounding district.
This objective is achieved through a range of activities to promote heritage and history across the whole of the community, encouraging as many people as possible to participate, celebrate and learn more about the area’s past, and linking it to life today.

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES DURING 2021
Covid restrictions severely affected the holding of events, or activities, during 2021 and this lack of activity is reflected in the accounts. It was not possible to hold any of the monthly talks during 2021.
The Dining Club was not able to organise any lunches during the year.
Only 1 membership fee was paid throughout the year, compared with the pre-pandemic membership level of just over 100 members.
