In 2023, as part of their plans to recommission a core service lor family carer living in Essex, the Local Authority stated their intention to incorporate the T4U rnodel into this core offer. The work of Essex Carers Support continue5 to influence activity and plannin8 across the local the health and social care systern,. we have seen some further irnprovement5 in the awareness ol carer-related i5sue5 and an increase irn their prominence and representalion in strategic plans. There remains a great deal of wtsrk to achieve appropriate recognition of the roles of 13mily carer5 and in en5urin8 ihat their contributions to our ¢ommunities 15 sufficiently addressed. The ¢oSt.of-living ¢risis has ¢ontinued to impa¢t disproportionately on family ¢arers and ai Essèx Carers Support we strive to highlight this impact whenever possible and are working with system partners to find appropriate solulitsns to highlight this impact and provide eflective support. The articles stipulate that at the first Annual General Meeting after incorporation110 july 20121 all the trustees shall retire from office before the appointment of a new Board of Directors. When considering co-opting trustees, the Executive Committee ha5 regard to the requirement for any specialist skills needed. The organisation ha5 8 full induction pack for anv new trustees and also arranges relevant training. Rlsk mana8ement The Executive Committee has instigated a review of the major risks to which the charity may be exposed and systems have been established to miligate those risks. Iniernal risks have been minimised by the implementation ol procedures for authorisation ol all transactions to ensure consistent quality for all operational aspects of the charitable company. These procedures are peiiodically reviewed to ensure that they continue to meet the needs of the charity. Publlc benefit The trustees have referred to the guidance contained within the Charity Commission's general 8uidance on public benefit when reviewin8 the aims and objectives of the charity and in plannin8 future activities.
