Radnor Charitable Trust Annual Report 2024-2025

The school, of which the Radnor Charitable Trust is the bursary fund, has announced that the move to the new site has been delayed - the date on which this will happen is unclear. The Trust remains in an uncertain position, however we are still receiving regular donations.

The income from the donations from parents and from the staff car park contributions provides enough income to maintain the current bursaries, extending the bursary of one pupil from secondary to Sixth Form, and the continuation of a Sixth Form hardship bursary. The Trust also took on payments for a pupil whose father became seriously ill and therefore unable to pay his fees for the remaining two terms of Year 11.

With independent schools no longer being able to exclude VAT on fees, we have had an increase in applications for support. We have awarded a bursary to a Year 8 pupil to cover the cost of this increase. We envisage that support from the Trust will be requested by parents in similar situations.

Trustees will continue to offer bursaries to applicants in the Sixth Form if there are suitable candidates.
