## **Section C                    Objectives and activities** 

**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

The Parents Association aims to encourage good relations between the staff, parents and others associated with the school, and to support the school in advancing the education of its pupils. The objectives of the PA are to organise fundraising activities, to involve as many people as possible in order to create a sense of community. 

The PA will not be involved in matters relating to the internal administration of the school.

The PA organised and raised funds for the school as follows:

This year the expenditure of the charity for the funds raised will provide for the completion of required capital projects to benefit the pupil population such as the refurbishment of toilets as well as to provide new private counselling facilities for one on one work with pupils. 

The trustees have regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. They are aware of the guidance, have taken it into account when making decisions to which the guidance is relevant.

Section D                      Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

The BJSPA managed to raise a gross income of £25,012, successfully running the Summer Fair and many other events as well as from parent contributions to the PA. 

This was a new record for the charity, especially also following the dip during Covid years which affected fundraising ability. The funds will be going towards worthwhile projects to benefit the Brookland Junior School and its community, as identified by the leadership team of the school.
