The Breakfast Café is noiy fmly established as a popular foT lo¢al people of all age5 to meet up connect. Overall nuillbeTS hav¢ illcreased and Enany people comwent on the pos11ive and ivelcoming environtnent tbal il has created. We also now have seyeial people froffi the local ¢oll]muuity ivho are not part of the Lhurch that help Var￿oUS Ivays iyjlh the running of th¢ café. The Baby Groupj first established during lockdown in parttsership ivith the local Fomily Centre, ha5 noiv illoved to the Family Centre build￿8 tsn the Goodivyns Estate but is run by a tewn from the Church. Il is J]ow called Messy Mondays and ].% drawing a ivide range nf parcnts with babics and toddlers. The"Coii]munity Wanii Space" (e55ei]lially a free coffee inorning) at tbe Collununity Centre, agaill iDitiated and run by the Church, has noiv evolved iiilo a cxaft and coffee morning. It is called'cralty Companions" &nd is every iveek througbout the year. Over 50 people of all ages froin the Church and the local community have attended one or more of these sessions (&verage attendance is about 20 people) Ivith an increasing sense of "belonging" expregsed by in&ny of those involved. In June 2023 a group of volunteers from tbe Cburch started a Friday night Yijuth Club at th¢ CoD]nTrunity Centre targeted mainly at th¢ Year 7-9 agE gtoup. D¢spite no attelldaThce in th¢ r￿St couple of iy¢eks it gr¢iv over the follo1v￿g ￿onthS alld Doiv has a regular attendattce of about 15 young people, occasionally rising to over 20. The ivider work with young people has continued to develop through co.operation ivith other local Churches and lye ivere able to take a group of over 20 teenagers from tbose Churches to a major Christian Yolllb Festival (Neivday) which was niJ]ning for the second ti]lle sinee covid. Nearly 40 people from the Church also joined over 3000 others at Coinmissiott Festival (the Church is part of the Comnlission neNYoIk of Chuiches) at ttke Bath & West Shoivground in Au8U5t 2023. Events like thi5 iealty help to build aBd enwurag¢ th¢ s¢lls¢ of log¢th¢rn¢ss across the Church family. Most people in the Church are actively involvedlserving in one or Inore of tbe Church activities outside of the Sundoy Ivorship gatberings and the Church is sloivly starting to groiv in number. Underlying ftnttiicial giving by Church ]nembers has also risell dvrillg the year. FiTrÈlly, tb¢ Church h35 wnlillu¢d to support the ivork of the DoTking M¢n'5 Sh¢d (DMS) at th¢ HaTllPStead Road building, allhough the building is CEirr¢ially in tbe proGe55 Of being sold.
