Everlasting Evangelical Ministry started as a Christian organization with a desire for the advancement of the gospel. It was founded in order to provide support for the Christian faith through the propagation of the gospel, to support and provided human resources, educational facilities, advocacy and advice to children and families, women and vulnerable groups. The core functions goes beyond religion and therefore the whole community benefits.

We saw that the communities we live in have many difficult problems in the field of unemployment, child abuse, family disintegration, youth offending, famine, and financial hardship and through our beliefs we can make a difference by helping to not only to provide faith-based activities but to also improve the quality of life socio-economic development of the communities which will, in turn, enhance the standard of living of both members and nonmembers.

Due to the impact of the pandemic, we found ourselves using online tools for our services and contacts. This has helped to reduce overall costs and relocate resources to supporting families in the areas of food and basic necessities

## **2.PUBLIC BENEFIT**

The Governing Council has referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity’s aim and objectives and in planning its future activities. In particular, the trustees consider how planned activities will contribute to the aims and objectives they have set for the church and as a registered charity and this includes proving services to the general public ( employment, advocacy, immigration, women’s rights, youth and family) as well as simultaneously providing faith-based activities and services for the church.

During the 2021/2022 financial year, we directed our activities towards supporting the communities in Newham to be able to go through the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore we used ZOOM meetings to organize a series of meetings and support many people with basic necessities. Our place of worship at School21, Stratford was hardly used as we decided to take the time to build our capacity especially as we were facing storage issues and were not entirely sure about whether there was going to be another covid given the fact that, the Centre is used by many organization on a pay as you go basis

## **3. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE**

During the accounting year 2021/2022 financial year, the charity saw the need to support many people who were affected by the pandemic especially those with immigration problems which prevent them from working This means that the Corona Virus Food programme was a life-saving mechanism that allow families to share with other families’ foodstuffs. However, the charity did not benefit financially from this in the form of gift aid.

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW**

Incoming resources were £31925.00 during the 2021/2022 accounting year with overall expenses being £ **26500.** This leaves a surplus of £ 5425.00

## **PLANS FOR THE FUTURE**

Directors’ main objectives for the year 2022/2023 are to continue its core work which is aimed at supporting our members and the community of Newham and the church through the provision of food, water and other basic necessities as well as providing financial assistance to those affected by the Corona Virus pandemic.

We have been exploring working with Unity Linkup - a digital platform that focuses of promoting small businesses from ethnic minority backgrounds and business entrepreneurs whose income threshold is too low to attack any investment. The majority of entrepreneurs have bad credit to be able to apply for a personal or business loan. We are exploring the possibility of working with interested parties who will be prepared to support the setting up and payment of business charges without actually paying the money directly to the entrepreneur

## **VOLUNTEERS**

We have 3 volunteers who work with the charity.
