Organisational Structure
The Chapel is led by an Eldership Team made up of seven Elders. three of vthom are also Trustee& Andrew
Mehigan, who serves as one of the Elders but Is not a Trustee, Is a full-tlme member of staff whr) acts as the
Eldershlp team coordlnator. Thls team meets 1￿ce monthly to re￿eW Strate￿ and set the spiritual dlreLtion of
the church. The Trustees support the Eldershlp Team and meet slx tlmes a year to re￿eW the management and
administration of thè Chapels property and fvnds, policy and other operational matters. Conflitt5 of interest are
managed SenS￿￿elY and apprOp￿atelY accordance wlth the Charlty Commlssion guidance. Trustees and all
Elders meet informally Lwice a year.
The key management personnel of the charity as listed on page 1 are In charge of dlrettin& Controlli￿ running
and operating the charity on a day to day basis. Apart from the detalls regardlng salary payrnents to one Trustee
and family members of a second setvlng trustee as described fvrther in note 9. all other Trustees gfve of their

Sunday Seryb￿s and Spedal Se￿ces
We hold one Sunday servlce at 11AM every Sunday, except for when the Chufch Is closed for our annual ChLtrch
weekend away durlng the thlrd week In August and also when Chr15tma5 Day falls on a Sunday. The Chapel
beneltted from the ministry of several guest speakers, Mark Waterfield, Malcolm Kaye5. Kevln Bartlett and Terry
rgo. In addltlon to thlsseveral preachlng serles were followed whlch Included Levs Gol, The Klng Is Comlw Meet
Jesus, Exodus, Filllng London with Followef5 ofle5U5. Llfe Together and Tltus.
These serles all look at contemporary socletsl an%J personal155ues wlth a blbllcal perspecdve.
Life Groups
At the end of the year there were 73 Chapel Ufe Groups. Th15 Is an increase on the 10 Lrfe Groups operatlng in
2024. Thls Increase resulted frgm a new life group starting In West London.
Summer Weekend Away
The Chapel held its flrt Summer Away resldentlal halfboard 2 nlght weekend last Augusrfrom Frfday 15th to
Sunday 17th of August 2025 at the Un￿rsitY of KenL There were over 100 who attended. Adults and children
aged 3 years and upwards each paid a subsld$5ed sum of £60 towards the COSL This event wa5 open to all
Members and regular attenders.
Foodbank
1.156 adults and 263 children were fed through the Foodbank in 2025. a decrease of 346 adults and 129chlldren.
Compared wÉth the 1.502 adults and 392 chlldren fed by the Foodbank in 2024. This fall stems from its closure
from 20" October untll 3rd November and then Its part clost1￿ from 3° November untll 19th December to enable
a significant refurbishmentto the maln storage rooms. Total income of £197,618 Included grantfunding 9btained
totalllng£85.OOOforthls refurblshment, aswell as £33.809 tofund an onsiteYKJrkerfrom citizensAdw￿l￿j days
per week. Foodbank costs of £191,737 included the refurbishment costs of £64,537 and paylng Citizens Athce

During 2025, 8 prayer meeting5 were held on Sundays on the flrst Sunday of each month, startlng May. Before

New Acre Cafe
New Acre Café is 51tuated at the maln front entrance, open to members of the public betsyeen 9.00 AM and 430

Financial Review
The financlal results from 1 Jan 2025 - 31 Dec 2025 show a net surplus of £87,448. The Ch4pel 15 5ubstantlalty
funded by donations from its ctsngrègation. These enable staff to be employed and premlses maintsined $0 that
the Chapel can carryout its mlnistry.

Westsmlnsterchapel engaged In fvndraisln& This tookthe form of receI￿ngfrte-wlll offering51donatlons, some of
whi¢h were gift alded. from mernbers of our fellowshlp durlng the year. However, we dld not contract the se￿Ice
of any professional ftJndraiser5 as defined by section 58 of the Charities Act 1992. Other than publicly invitlng an
offerlng at every serylce, we do r￿t engage In persistent fundralslng or Intrusive fundraising practices wlth any of
our donols. includin8vulnerable people, and we never have prfvatè orcoercwe dt5cussion5wlth Indlvlduals about
their giving. Our fundraising practices are ethlcal and 4¢cordance with Biblical princlples. No complaints were
re￿iVed about our fundralsSng prathces.

Yhe accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Articles of knouatlon of Westminster Chapel, the
Companies Aa 2006. the Chartties Act 2011 and 'Accountlng and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of
Recommended Prattice appllcable to charltles prèparing their accounts In accordance wth the Ananclal
Reportlng Standard applicable In the UK and Republic of I￿land IFRS 102r issued In October 2019. The trust
Is a Publk Benefrt Entity as defined by FRS 102.
The accounts have been prepared fortheyear ended 31 December2025. They have been prepared In pounds
sterllng and rounded to the nearest £1.
The accounts have been prepared under the historlcal u)st conventlon, modlfled to Include investment
propertles and certain financ¢al instruments at fair value. The prlnclpal accountlng pollcles adopted are set
out below.
B) Going Concern
The Church Incurred 3 surplus of £19.492, excludlngtransfers bewleen fvnd5, on ltsgeneral unrestritted fvnd
for 2025.
A cash flow forecast Is prepared and updated monthly on a rollin8 basis for the next 12 months whtch Is
presented to the Trustees and Is used as the prlmary budgetirsg tool for ensurfng that unrescrlcted funds are
experted to be maintained at amund three months annual forecast expendlture for the next 12 months In
order to cover any very large unexpected and emergency expenses which mlght arise. However, the usual
pattern of spendtns results In a workingcapltal requirement of around zero, thus ensurlngthat the minimum
reserves level is fully avallable to be spent should such an emergenry expense be Incurred. In addition. a
minimum of trustees must approve all Jnts'cipated expenditures in excess of £2,500. The Tru5tee5 also
meet several times each year to rewew the most up to date management a£ttsunts together with the latest
forecasL
Accordingty. the TrUS￿eS consider the going concem basi5 for the preparation of the char5tys finandal
statements to be reasonable.

E) Tangible Flxed Assets
All assets costing more than £1.000 have been capitallzed. Fixed assets are stated at C05t less accumulated
depreci3tion. Where the charty enjoys the right to LSSQ premlses. wthout acqulring legal ownership, the fair
value of the asset 15 recognlsed as incomè and a flxed asset. Fairvalue Is estlmated from the flnanaal benefits
expetted to flowto the charityas itwll avo*d the cost it would othetwise have Incurred in obtaining premises.
Depreciation
Depreciation Is ch6rged on furniture an¢J equipment and the premlses ifftprovements at rates of 2￿ and 5%
respettivety and at 4% of cost per annum commencing from the date of the PLsrchaselc05t belng Incurred.
No depreciatlon Is charged on lèasehold propety where the estlmète rÈsidual value is consIde￿d to be the
same or higher than the carrylngvaltje in the accounts. lrnpairments are recognlsed when the carryingvalue

Contributions to the Charliys defined contrSbution pension scheme are charged to the SOFA in the year in

Funds held by Chapel are:

Designated fund& these are funds set aside by the trustees for speclfic purposes or projecL%.
Restrltted funds.. these are funds which can onSy be used for specific purposes within the charitable objetts
of the Chapel. Restrlctlons arise when specifled by the donor or when funds ère raised for Specific purposes.
The nature and purpose of each fund is further èxplained In note 16 to the flnancial statements.

Grants are includeil when they havè been approved by the trustees and the expendlture is commthd.

The Fabrlc Fund is intended to meet the ffjst of all repalr5. refurblshmerts, equlpment replacement and
maintenance costs which do not occur with annual regularity and whose timing can be uncertain. It receives
transfers annual￿ frorr7 the General Fund setwlth reference to thefull rebuildSng c05tfor insurance purposes.
The Mlnlmum ReseThe5 Fund Is a fijnd whlch has its level set èt three months of oll expenditure whlch is
expecred to re-occur at least once per year.
The Foodbank fund supports the operatlon of the Food Bank. Please refer to page 5 ft>r more infonTration. A
trènsfer was mède from the Foodbank fund to the general fund in respett of the capital expenditu￿ on the
refurbishment ofthe stora8e room durlng the year.
The Campbell Morgan Lfbrary refurblshmentwas completed in 2025. Atran5ferwas made from the CMLfund
to the general fund in rèspert of furnlture purchased during the year.
The Walth3m5tow fund Is belng accumulated untll thè new church plant In Walthamstow flnrls premises to
operate from and requests that these funds are released.
The transfers from unrestricted funds were made to meet expenditure which exceeded restrlcted incorne.
