## **Objectives and Activities** 

The PTA exists to advance the education of pupils at the school by developing effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school, and by engaging in activities and providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of its pupils. 

During the year, the PTA organised fundraising and community events to raise funds and strengthen relationships within the school community. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

During the reporting period the PTA organised the following activities: 

Quiz School disco Christmas Fair Elfridges Someone Special event Balloon Race Race Night Chocolate Bingo Netball refreshments Colour Run Frozen Fridays Summer Fair

Funds raised enabled the PTA to purchase or contribute towards: 

OPAL play equipment Classroom resources 

The trustees would like to thank the many volunteers, parents, school staff and local businesses whose support made these events possible. 

## **Financial Review** 

Total Income: £27,071 Total Expenditure: £22,012 

Net Surplus/(Deficit): £5,059 

The principal sources of income during the year were fundraising events, donations and grants.p , school. 

The trustees believe that the current level of reserves is appropriate to support planned activities and provide financial stability for future projects. 

## **Public Benefit** 

The trustees have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. 

All funds raised during the year were used to support pupils and enhance their educational experience through additional resources, equipment and activities beyond the school’s core budget. 

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

The PTA is governed by its constitution. 

Trustees are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting. 

The committee meets regularly throughout the year to oversee fundraising, approve expenditure and ensure the effective management of the charity. 

Financial controls include dual authorisation of payments, regular financial reporting and independent examination of the accounts. 

## **Risk Management** 

The trustees regularly review the principal risks facing the charity. 

These include: 

- Ensuring adequate volunteer support 

- Managing financial controls 

- Health and safety at events 

- Compliance with safeguarding requirements 

Appropriate procedures are in place to minimise these risks.

## **Plans for the Coming Year** 

The PTA intends to: 

- Continue organising successful fundraising events. 

- Increase volunteer engagement. 

- Support school priorities identified by the leadership team. 

- Build reserves to fund future improvement projects. 

- Explore new fundraising opportunities and grant applications.

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS' REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES** 

I report to the Trustees on my examination of the accounts of Willesborough Junior School for the year ended 30 September 2025 which are set out on pages XXXX 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity Trustees of the CIO you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or 

3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view’ which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
