The pre-school Desi8llaied Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), continued to work closely with Torbay Safeguarding Children Partnership ensurin8 disclosures wer¢ actioned within the statutory timefrnm4 att¢nding meetin8s and submittsn8 reports when neccssary. Seplcmber 2023 - Au8USt 2024 we had a tothl of 69 children registered to attend over thc year. Of these, 2 required full one lo one support with an Education, Health Carc Plan being issued before they left in July 2024. 3 fith childTen required additional SEN supwl. 42 pupils from Our Lady of the Angels Primary School aCcPJs￿ our wraparound Co￿ either brepkfast club or after school Club. In September 2023 we madc the decision io extend our openin8 houts to 7.30am- 5.30pm. This has bcen very much welcomed by many parents. In July 2024. 30 pre-s¢hool ¢hildren moved fiDm Pre-school into a R¢ccption class. We enjoyed a lovely ond successful leav¢rs trip lo Pai￿lOn Zoo on the la8t day of te￿. The pr¢-s¢hool employed 9 pemjanent Early Years staff, one of whom is ￿MPletIng her level 3 carly years qualification. All the $tsff are dedi¢ated to upholding our missior4 we also employ a part time ¢aretaker. With the help of a donfition from the Rotary Club in Paignton, wc were abl¢ to ask a local cary)enter10 build an outdoor fo¢)d larder for us. This is available for parents and fatnilies in the local community to accc4 Whenev￿ they need food or non-consumable items such as wa5hin8 powder, shamp)o, shower 8els etc. We restock thi5 with donations from the local church and pre-school. We are also signed up to Faresharc. provide via Asda and Bookers wholesale store, food which we collect on a weckjy basis to offer tt) familie& In November 2023 we were approached by a fornier parent who asked if he could fundrnise for us as part of his Diwali celebrntions. Holy Angels Pre-school Report ofthe Trustees for the year ended 31 August 2024 Instead of a Nativity this year, in Dccember we held Stay and Play se55ions. Parents, grandparents and carers were invited into the $eMing lo join wd makin8 Christmos crafts and also 10 lisl¢n to the children singing Ihcir Chrislmos carols and songs, as well as enjoying minre pi¢5 and clotted cream. In March we held a Sponsored bounce for the children, usin8 our own bouncy ¢astl¢. We had an incredible response; the ¢hildren raised a fantastic £1032,50p. The money raised will be used to enhance our Forest school area and also fvnd the building of 2 lar8e planters for us lo grow our own vc8ciables. In June we hcld a very su¢¢essfvl sports day mornin8* joining in with the ¢hildr¢n and staff from Our Lady of the AnB¢Is. Flnan¢lal Revlew We hold cash at ihe bank of £116.789 all of which is unreslricled funds. These funds are hcld in order to rneet any unforeseen expenditure such as. r¢dundancy, repairs and maintenance. We aim to hold at leasi £50,000 for reserve.
