Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to the
circumstances of its
benefciaries and any wider
benefts to society as a whole.
SORP reference
Para 1.20 The charity has had a huge impact on the
school with this year's funds. Our biggest
impacts were our contribution to a new
school library and building the ‘Green Wall’
in the top playground.
For both we organised and funded the
creation of these two initiatives. With the
library this included supply of books and
equipment.
In addition we contributed to organising a
repair and revamp for the Blossom Garden
(Early Years) outside space, new blinds for
the school hall, classroom fooring, reading
software, SEND lego therapy, leavers
hoodies, headphones for SEND children,
music software, tables and chairs for
classrooms, Chromebooks for classrooms,
PE equipment, NFER assessment
resources, english and reading books for
classrooms, tablets, annual Children’s
Parade materials, food and personal
hygiene items for the Pantry, donations to
reduce the cost of school trips and support
our disadvantaged children and their
families.
In addition we continued to strengthen the
relationships between parents/carers, staf
and others associated with the school.
Each year we see growth with more
volunteers and higher engagement than
previous years. We continue to operate our
onsite food bank and uniform library
(created last year) which is of a huge
beneft to the Elm Grove school community
and much needed for families during a cost
of living crisis. We continue to provide free
volunteer time to help with school projects
such asplayground repairs andgardening.

Financial Review

SORP reference
Review of the charity’s
fnancial position at the end of
the period
Para 1.21 The charity is in a strong fnancial position at
the end of the period. Everything that we
raised was reinvested into the school, whilst
retaining enough funds in the bank to ensure
we can run at least one large event (school
fair).
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22 We ensure that we always hold on to a
minimum of £2,000 in reserve to ensure we
have enough to run upcoming events
(expenses for that event like food/drink
supplies, rental of equipment or venue hire).
The remaining reserves in our account during
this accounting period are already assigned to
other projects in the school that have not yet
been undertaken, so the school has not yet
invoiced for them. However all funds are ring
fencedfor individualschoolprojects.

of funds (including any

Para 1.47 The principal source of funding for the charity
are our school fundraisers (school fairs,

school requests for grants, with a separate
amount for the Pantry which is managed by
the PTA itself. With the main costs incurred
running the events themselves e.g.

Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of Elm Grove PTA

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Elm Grove PTA for the year ended 31[st] March 2025.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of Elm Grove PTA you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).

I report in respect of my examination of Elm Grove PTA’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner’s statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or

  2. the accounts do not accord with those records.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Signed:

Name: Bethany Tyler ACCA
