Funded and performed new science based songs (Matabele Ants +Trillionth Tree) A sequence of songs about the Science of Tiny were performed as standalone concerts (e.g. The Alice Cross Centre, Teignmouth) as well as contributing to events promoted by others such as the British Science Festival (at Exeter Phoenix). The choir hosted BBC4 Any Questions at Teignmouth Pavilions to promote choirs. Major performances included Capulets and Montagues as well as Regina. Songs were performed by invitation e.g. at the 10th Anniversary of Plymouth Social Enterprise City, Turn The Tide, Teignmouth Classic Music Festival and Kenton Music Festival. |

Para 1.20 | Training old and new songs to community choir members. Choir members enjoyed practising songs, being part of a social group, performing to others. The charity maintained its policy of being open to all choir members, regardless of their ability to pay. People attending gigs and concerts enjoyed the music and will almost certainly have learnt something as many songs contain information about the natural world, historical events and can be based on published literary works. |
