We identify vulnerable children and adults within deprived areas and collaborate with members of the local community to provide services to improve their situations. Most, if not all, our beneficiaries are economically powerless, we provide our services for free. However, we encourage them to contribute through volunteering for basic work. We ask the community to provide the land for project development. We have been collaborating with other charities and organisations to enhance our business plan and our website. We are members of the Small Charities Coalition. The trustees have assessed the risks the charity faces by drawing up a list which identifies risks by areas of activity, the nature of those risks and the likelihood of these risks happening. The trustees are satisfied that systems are in place and have rated the charity as low risk. Section D Achievements and Performance Outcome: The assistance that we provided helped alleviate the financial hardship faced by the poor and needy. However, due to the rising cost of living, the demand for our services has now seen an increase. Our charity has continued to receive donations, which has enabled us to serve the poor and needy. Project Zakat: Background: This money is made available for the most poor and needy who are unable to pay for their basic needs. What We Did: The charity continuously distributes throughout the year to rural areas in India, The Gambia and Zimbabwe. We travelled to Gambia and India, this enabled us to see the people who needed the assistance, personally distribute the funds and see how our previous projects were progressing. Outcome: This service continues to benefit the neediest in society. This is an on-going process. This year we experienced a continuous demand as increasing numbers of people are struggling to buy food and pay bills. Conclusion: Providing charity to others is central to our sense of humanity. We are pleased with the successful outcomes of these diverse projects. The support has changed people's lives and given them hope. We have also learned how to deliver our projects with maximum efficiency, targeting resources to where they are most needed and deploying effective financial planning to secure value for money. Section E Financial Review We have adopted a reserves policy whereby we have reserves sufficient to last for six months if there is an interruption or reduction in our funding. Brief statement of the charity's policy on reserves Details of any funds materially in deficit None Further financial review details Optional infomiation) The financial statements, which follow, show a healthy picture at the end of our fourteenth year of operation. The charity has been able to widen the scope of the support that can be provided. The trustees received no remuneration, expenses, or benefits in this period. We anticipate this may impact on future donations. TAAP Foundatlon www.taapfoundation.or8.uk
