The Discovery Centre is registered as an open access centre offering positive activities for children/young people 5 to 25 after school & during school holidays, we also offer NEET engagement courses North Lynn Discovery also run the SOS Safehaven Project which supports the night time economy when people find themselves in distressAll these projects offer volunteer opportunities to young people.
Objects: 1. The Company's Objects Are Specifically Restricted To The Following: (a) Further Or Benefit The Inhabitants Of Norfolk And Neighbouring Counties "the Area Of Benefit," Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions By Associating Said Inhabitants And The Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Objective Of Improving The Quality Of Life For The Inhabitants;(b) Develop The Capacity And Skills Of The Inhabitants Of, And Organisations Operating In, The Area Of Benefit In Such A Way That They Are Better Able To Identify And Help Meet Their Needs And To Participate More Fully In Society; And Provide Support And Activities Which Develop Their Skills(c) Establish Or Secure The Establishment Of Community Facilities And To Maintain Or Manage Or Co-Operate With Any Statutory Authority In The Maintenance And Management Of Such Facilities In Furtherance Of The Company's Objects.(d) To Act As A Resource For Young People Up To The Age Of Twenty Four Living In The East Of England By Providing Advice And Assistance And Organising Programmes Of Physical, Educational And Other Activities As A Means Of:(i) Advancing Education(ii) Relieving Unemployment(iii) Engaging Young People Who Are Not In Employment, Education Or Training.(iv) Reducing Anti-Social Behaviour
