## **OFFICERS REPORTS**

## **CHAIRPERSON AND GROUP CO-ORDINATOR’S REPORT**

2020 had a massive impact on so many families and continues to do so. To this end, Community First Responders reduced their hours for quite a significant time due to underlying condition, and some still have not been able to return to their normal duties. Having said this you will see from the report that we have covered 4320 duty hours and attended 696 calls.

Many responders have been active in other ways too, assisting where required in hospitals and more recently at local hubs where vaccines have been administered. The joint efforts by both fulltime staff and volunteers have been praised by many recipients of both vaccines.

Recruitment has been ongoing and new responders are always coming through, but due to Covid 19 training has been limited and hopefully this will be resumed in the very near future.

Fund raising is still high on our agenda and we are grateful to the wonderful communities we serve for their continued support, both individually, and through businesses, clubs , councils, grants and collection boxes.

Over the years we have built up a team to be proud of as we continue to serve the community

Ian Wagg – Chairperson
