Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main The club had another good year of growth, hitting new records achievements of the in terms of registered players. Around 630 players registered charity during the year during the season with nearly 40 teams.

The Club continues to invest in up-skilling many volunteers coaches by offering regular opportunities to attend FA certified coaching courses. The Club also provides coaches to help facilitate football activities for the younger age group (5 to 8 year olds) as well as continued engagement with a Goal keeper coach. Like all charities, the club was impacted again by Covid-19. The season started as normal in Sept 2020 but various lockdowns saw play interrupted. Training and friendlies continued till July 2021 to make up for some of the missed weeks playing and training. The club is looking at other non-football dependant fundraising activities, eg Fantasy Football, ‘100 club’ to continue to raise funds to keep the registration and match fees as low as possible.

Section E Financial review The charity’s policy is to retain reserves sufficient to meet any Brief statement of the immediate requirements of the charity while setting aside charity’s policy on sufficient funds to meet growth needs and for longer term reserves projects. P&L proposed to be submitted to the Charity commission for the period to 30 June 2021 saw a loss of c£16.5k. This is distorted by the timing of the payment to our charity partners of c£16k in July 2020 for the fundraising event June 2020 along with repayment to HMRC of overclaimed Gift Aid. Details of any funds materially in deficit Adjusting for these the club had a profit of c£16k, reflecting the incomplete season. It is the intention of the club to offer a discount to fully registered players for next season to compensate for this
