## **1. Statement of Financial Activities.**

The Cadishead Public Band has had a controlled financial year following the Covid pandemic **.** Due to good management, the generosity of our supporters and Covid 19 grants, the Band managed to produce an expenditure over income figure of £217.

The Band remains debt free.

For the year ending the 31[st] January 2023 income was £30802.60 and expenditure £31019.42 producing a deficit of £216.82. It should be noted that the Band spent £4000 on the building to ensure that the high standards of appearance and comfort are retained.. The Band also spent £9940 on new instruments.

The Cadishead Public Band would like to extend our thanks and gratitude for the help given to us by the Hamilton Davis Trust.

At the end of the financial year, the building was being used by respectable groups for functions, rehearsals and meetings, as well as Band activities, and the objective is to generate sufficient income to cover all costs related to the building and it’s use.

During the year the Band returned to our normal concert season following Covid and had a successful programme of Christmas Busking.

The Balance Sheets provided here for the year ending the 31[st] January 2023 consist of Income and Expenditure items and details of the internal costing funds, namely:

a) the General Fund,

b) the B Band Fund,

- c) the Andrew Cooke Memorial Fund which covers tuition activities,

d) The Uniform Fund,

e) the Concert Tour Fund ,

f) the Instrument Fund and

g) the Building Fund.

At the end of the financial year on the 31[st] January 2023 the Band had a healthy bank balance of £51520.

The Balance Sheets have been:

i) examined and approved by our Independent Examiner, James Houghton. ii) presented to the Deed Trustees and approved at a meeting on the 16th March 2023. iii) presented to the Band's [Operational] Committee [Trustees] and approved by them at a meeting on the 2[th] March 2023

iii) presented to the Band's Annual General Meeting and accepted and approved on the 26[th] March 2023
