Trustees’ Annual Report

Tutbury Old School Community Association (TOSCA) Ltd

1st August 2023 – 31st July 2024

The building and its users have continued to thrive this year. We were delighted to receive a significant grant through the National Lottery Community Fund to replace the old boiler and install two new modern boilers. The expenditure on these came in the next financial year, so gives a misleading ‘profit’ for the year ending July 2024. It is hoped that the new boilers will improve our energy efficiency and reduce our energy bills, which are by far our biggest expense.

Tutbury Preschool remains by far our biggest user, but the building is now in use every week day and every weekday evening. Weekends are more or less free, with occasional party bookings or community events. This is something we could look to build on. The Preschool remains successful and is looking to expand its offer. We will support this where possible, whilst still remembering that the building is a multi-purpose community building.

We could also look to do more fundraising and raise our profile to attract more volunteers.

Thank you to the trustees for their dedication over another year.
