As a result of these year-on-year changes in in¢ome and expenditure, the overall net movement in our
funds frorn unreslricled core ￿tiVitieS was an increase of £16,615 before Iran5fvrs.
We remaln proud that the MDS grants from the DfE. together with the Sludenl Support bursaries that
we are abl8 lo offer from our own fund5, mean that around ￿0-thirdS of students in the Main Academy
receive Some sort of support with their fees. And our Infant fees are also subsldised, with every
51udenl paying about 15°h less than the cost of their provision.
In 2024-25 we were able lo limit to the average Increase in our fees to RPI and, mindful of the
increasing financial pressure on families, we remain commilled to finding ways lo ensure that SMA

Prlnclpal fundlng sourcw5
The prlnclpal funding sources for the core activities of the Academy are grants from the DfE's Music

While our dependence on income from the MDS Scheme has reduced significantly over the last
decade (from 72 per cent lo 51 p8r cent of our cor8 income in 2024-251 because of concerted efforts

The donations we receive enable the Academy to maintain it5 reserves for core activities at a prudent
level. Until we have sufficient funds for long-lerm investment, our reserves will continue to be split

Reserves Pollcy
The Irusleas are rlsk averse as règard$ the Academy's reserve3 and alm lo maintain sufficient free

Golng Concern
Th8 Board is reassured that the Academy alm081 continued lo Ilve wlthSn Ils means during 2024-25,
g8n8raling a Small 12.1¥0} surplus of Sncome over expendllure. We have approved a balanced
budget for the 2025-26 financial year and our latest forecast, based on the oullurn lo November 2025,
confirms we remaln on largel lo dellver 11. The DfE has confirmed 118 SUPPOrt for the Musl¢ and

For these reasons, the Board continue$ lo adopt the going concern basls In preparing tho financial
