## **2. Structure, Governance and Management** 

The Norwich Association of Malayalees is a community-based charity governed by its constitution and managed by a board of trustees. Trustees oversee governance, strategy, and financial management. 

## **3. Objectives and Activities** 

The charity aims to promote cultural awareness, community cohesion, and social wellbeing through events and initiatives. 



## **4. Achievements and Performance** 

Events conducted: 

- Christmas and New Year Celebrations 

- Onam Celebrations 

- Easter, Eid and Vishu Celebrations 

- Career Development Event 

- Badminton Tournament 

- Playing Cards Tournament 

- Sports Day 

These activities strengthened community engagement and inclusivity.

Total income: £31,048.57 Sources: Membership, Cultural event income, Sponsorship: Expenditure: £32,788.37 

Rent / Venue Costs, event costs, logistics, Bank Charges 

The charity maintained a balanced financial position. 

## **6. Reserves Policy** 

The trustees aim to maintain sufficient reserves to ensure sustainability of operations. 

## **7. Future Plans** 

Expand programmes, increase community participation, strengthen partnerships, and enhance fundraising efforts. 

## **8. Statement of Trustees’ Responsibilities** 

Trustees are responsible for maintaining proper records, safeguarding assets, and preparing accounts in line with UK regulations.
