STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
a. Governing Document
th
Constitution adopted on 24 June 2011 as amended on 4 October 2013.
b. Appointment of Trustees
Trustees are appointed either by the Charity in general meeting or by the other
Trustees. They serve for a period of four years, being eligible to seek reolection for
a further three years, after that they retire.
c. Risk management
Trustees have identified that the major risk to the organisation is its over
dependence on funding by way of grants and donations. Consequently. the charity
has attempted to increase the anKtunt rt raises from rts own fund raising events to
improve its financial sustainabilty. Trustees will continue to monitor and review
risk.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
The demand for our servi￿$ has shovm no signs of diminishing during the year. The
Friday Café's have been extremely busy with the Church premises being dose to
capacity at times. Following a Fire Risk Assessment we have been provided wtth the
limits on numbers for all parts of the building and our booking system ensures we
operate safely wrthin these limits.
In addttion to the twice weekly café's we have organised additional events, trips and
treats to provide entertainment and variety to our members
Childhood Days reminiscence sessions with Angela Bishop
Visits from the pupils at Ashleigh School for singing and "Show and Tell"
Christmas Party at WyffK)ndham Rugby Club
Music from the Wymondham Ukelele Band
Performance of°Bah Humbag. by the Slow Theatre Company
Cruise on the Norfolk Broads
Afternoon Dance with the Tree fellas and Lady Byrds
Cream Tea and trip on the Mid Norfolk Railway to Dereham and back
Vintage and Classic Car Day
Singing with Louise Elder
Wymondham Open Gardens
Bingo Sessions. Quizzes, Stretch and Relax and Fish and Chip lunches
As a result of the Covid pandemic and its afte￿nath we had been unable to cary out
fa￿ to face training for the last few years. During the year we have made particular
efforts to ensure all our Trustees and Volunteers received updated training on
dementia awareness and safeguarding. We also canied out training for a selection of
volunteers in the use of the defibrillator installed last year.
Ann Scott stepped down as our Chair at the 2024 Annual General Meeting after
serving six years in the post. We would like to thank Ann for her leadership and
steady hand guiding the Group through those years particularly the difficulties
caused by the Covid pandemic. We are pleased that Ann will continue to serve as a
trustee and that we will continue to benefit from her knowledge and experience. We
were delighted to welcome Andy Rackham as our new Chair and wish him all
success in the role.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE (continued)
We were pleased to welcome Jo and Ken Shorrock as Trustees during the year and
we sure they will bring valuable new skills to the group. In November one of our co-
organisers Sarah Green retired, a sad day ft)r all of us. we thank Sarah for all her
hard work and commitment to the group and wish her all the best for the future. We
are very pleased to welcome local resident Felicity-Fliss" Horne as our new
Assistant Organiser to work alongside Deborah Anstee.
We also need to pass on our thanks to the k)cal business community and the
general public in Wymondham and South Norfolk who continue to support our
activities so generously. We have run various arts and craft stalls and car boot sales
during the year wtth events at Tacolneston Woodlands Club, Peter Beales Rose
Festival. Mid Norfolk Railway, and WyTnondham Garden Centre. We thank all those
individuals who have produced. collected or donated the merchandise for the stalls
and all those who have helped out at the events.
None of the support we provide to our members would be possible without the
support of our loyal volunteers giving their time, experience and energy to deliver our
services for which we thank them. We are also indebted to all our organisers during
the year Deborah. Sarah and Fliss have gone above and beyond in managing our
activrties with great skill and efficiency- a hearty thanks from all of us.
Finally, we thank Lady Dannatt, our Patron, for her continued interest in and support
of the Group throughout the year.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
a. Receipts and Payments
The charity reported net outgoing resour￿5 of £9,489 for the year (2024 net
outgoing £21,825)
b. Balances
Our balances as at 31. March 2025 totalled £58,788 (£68,277 as at 31. March
2024}.
c. Reserves Policy
The Trustees had previously determined thal a reserve equivalent to at least twelve
months expenditure would be prudent in view of the uncertain nature of the main
income sources. The current level of ￿SerVeS exceeds this primarily due to a large
legacy received in 2020 and £27,000 received in 2022 from the closure of The
Wymondham Day Care Centre. The trustees are conrfortable with the current higher
level of reserves, but will consider opportunities to develop Se￿iceS in the future as
opportunities arise.
d. Principal Sources of Funds
Grants and donations are the Charitys main source of funds.
DECLARATION
This report was approved by the Trustees on 14 May 2025 and signed on their
behalf by
A Rackham
