Objects and activities of the charity

The purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document.

Everythings 13 focus is to promote the Sikh faith. We hire speakers to teach at various religious and educational institutions nationally and internationally. Most of our work is on our You Tube channel www.youtube.com/basicsofsikhi & www.everythings13.org.

We also produce educational material such as our "3 facts about Sikhi" - a tri fold leaflet written in various languages as well as the "Top 10 questions about Sikhi" booklet. It is the charity's aim to ensure the facts about Sikhi are available in all languages worldwide and for the charity to be a "resource centre" for Gurdwaras worldwide. It is also our objective to try and have multilingual speakers available across the Globe for key events. It is also our aim to host talks, campaigns, and camps worldwide, whilst being involved with Sikhi related current affairs. A new objective that was set in 2016 was to plan for a "Visitor Centre" in Amritsar, Panjab near to Sri Harimander Sahib. This project is still on going.

The main activities undertaken in relation to those purposes during the year.

Achievements & performance

Basics of Sikhi

The charity started its recovery from the Covid 19 pandemic. Whilst we continued throughout Covid, a lot of our resources and work was online, and during this year we continued monitoring the guidance by the government. The first part of the year we continued on line. In December 2020 we did not pursue the Basics and Beyond camp in the UK due to Covid but still had a busy month. Sukhdeep Singh presented the first ever Basics of Sikh podcast with Karanveer Singh, which was available on Apple, Spotify and YouTube. Gurprit Kaur delivered talks and Sukhdeep hosted a Quiz Night (virtual).
