Wth Guru Jl's Kirpa, we had another fantssti¢ year Spreading Guru's message across th8 Globo
whilst sustaining and growtng wthin the UIQ That despite the challenges the pand•mic brwht to
the wodd. Whilst we are quite a tech savy organisalon and rely on YouTube, bve also heavlly
relied on netsvorking and speaking In public and the pandemic genuinely put a $t¢)p lo this. The
team MIer remarkably and to a very high 8tandard adapted to switch the strategy to onllne and
virtual events. which were very successful.
We were able to work via our varfous platfoms such as Ki(Idie S8ngat. Mighty Khalsa, Baslcs of
Sikhi and Sikh Press Associatlon social media. various UK, Global and Sikh media ¢yJllets.
Our average YouTube daity hits conlnue to increase. as do our sthcrfbers on various soclal
m8dia platfomis.

Appointment of trustees
All four trustees were wruitsd from the Sikh community who also prcAclivdy participate in
voluntary work.
Strudure & Team
The structure conslsts of four trustees. a five-person management team of which at legst one
person Is a Trustee. The team that is employed 1$ a ¢ombinations of teacheT¥, speakers, graphi
designers, video editors and project l events managers. There18 also one person that works as an
adminislralor. financial management and runs children's projeth under Mighty Khalsa & Kid(lle
Sangal. Finally, we al80 have a press officer who is responsible forthe Sikh Press Assodalion
project.
Furtherni0, there aro several woa¢tive volunteers who attw#J regular meetings. who carry OLrt
$eral duties and arrange events hosted by the Charity.

Nothstanding the explicit requirement in the extant statutory regulation$,the Charities IAccounts
and Rep$> Regulations 2008. to prepa the financial statements in accordance with the SORP
2005, In vlew of the fact that the SORP 2005 has been wthdrawn, the Trustees detennined to
Inlerwet this re8pon$ibilty as requiring them to follow current best practice and wepare the
aecounts according to the FRS 102 SORP (Statement of Recommended Pwtice forAccounting
and Reporting by Charities) 2015, {a5 amertd8d by the Bulletin issued in Februery 20161. (The
SORP), .
In particular. charlty law requiw the Trustees. If they prepare accounts on Sn 8¢xrLtals basis, to
prepare financial statements for each finar181 year whieh givé a true and fair view of the stste of
affairs of the chadty as at the end of the financial year and of the surplus or defiGil of the charity. In
