ThetrusteeswhoarealsodirectorsofthecharityforthepurposesoftheCompaniesAct2006, present
theirreportwiththefinancialstatementsofthecharityfortheyearended31March2021.The trustees
haveadoptedtheprovisionsofAccountingandReportingbyCharities:Statementof Recommended
PracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththeFinancial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES Objectives and aims

The charity's objectives are as follows:
1. To Help peopleof all agesfromdeprivedareasby providingsportingprogrammes,in particular football,
which include physical, educational, lifestyle, health and other activities.
2.Enablingpeopletodeveloptheirskills,awarenessandcapabilitiestohelpthemparticipateas healthy,
independent, mature and responsible individuals.
3. Toworkwithchildrenfromschools,particularlythosewithindeprivedareas,throughcontactwith Bath
City Football Club and its players.
In order to supportthese objectivesthe Charityruns a range of footballrelatedprogrammeswithin schools
andthecommunitythatareavailabletoallregardlessofage,race,disabilityorgender. Incorporated
withintheseprogrammesiscoachingdesignedtoencourageandacceleratethedevelopmentofall those
participatingintheprogrammes.BathCityFootballClubisacommunityclubandtheFoundationaims to
workinclosepartnershipwiththeclubtomaximisethebenefitsforbothpartiesandthecommunity and
schools.

WehavereferredtotheguidancecontainedintheCharityCommission'sgeneralguidanceon public
benefit when reviewing our aims and objectives and in planning our future activities.

ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE

Achievements and performance

ThePandemic'sarrivalin2020resultedinmostofourdeliverybeingpostponed.Duringlock-down we
furloughedsalariedstaffapartfromourProjectManager,whocontinuedtobe thefocalpointfor contact
and re-structuring the Foundation's delivery, along with the Chair of Trustees.
OurBusinessPlanandFundingPipelineweredisrupted,however,wehavemaintainedour engagement
with 1058 CYP and Adults within BANES and funding income has been stable.
During2020/21wehavecontinuedwithourvisionandcollaboratedwithBathRugbyFoundation, Bath
MindandAgeUKBANEStosupportareasofneedin ourcommunitywithphysicalactivityandhealth and
wellbeing support.
In 2020,our holidayhunger supportduring the schoolholidaysmovedfromface to face to house-to-house
deliverywiththe coachesand Trusteesvolunteeringto dropoffFareShareSWfoodboxesat the children's'
homes.Thisgavetheopportunityfordoorstepchatsandacontinuedconnectionwiththechildren and
young people we work with.
StudentsattheUniversityofBathconductedaresearchprojectinTwertontoidentifythemainareas of
needforCuroHousingAssociationresidentsasaresultofthefirstlockdown.Itwasreportedthat both
Socialand DigitalIsolationwere acute and that supportin this area was urgent.The Reconnecting Twerton
projectstartedwithonepart-timestaffmembertoidentifyacohortwhowouldbenefitfromsupport in
befriendingandtrainingoniPads,iPhonesandtablets.Thepandemicmeantithadaslowstartbut the
summer months allowed people to socialise and build up a lively group.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

The net incomingfunds for the periodwere £49,028(2020- £4,445).The Trusteesare gratefulfor the  kind
donations from our funders.
The Charity's reserves are sufficient to cover three months' operating costs.
Theaccountscomplywithcurrentstatutoryrequirements,thecharity'sgoverningdocumentand the
requirementsoftheStatementofRecommendedPracticeforCharities(SORP)applicableto charities
preparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUK and
Republic of Ireland (FRS102) (effective 1 January 2015).

FUTURE PLANS

WhenSchoolswentbackinSeptember2021,ourin-schooldeliverypickedupagainanddeprived areas
wereprioritisedwithFootballforAllsessionsafterschool,atlunchtimesandforcurriculum support,
funded by the National League Trust.
OurPremierLeaguePrimaryStarsprojectisrunninginthreeschoolsofferingTeachersupportalong with
physicalactivityandtargetedintervention.ThisincludesPSHEworke.g.,anti-racism/bullying workshops
and assemblies
Thepathwayforgirls'footballwasalreadyestablished.In2020,thisdevelopedintoaMonday evening
girlsandWomen'sfootballsessionwith35womenregisteredanda regularattendanceofbetween 10-15
each week attending post lockdown in 2021.
WeworkinassociationwithBathMind,tosupport16adultswhohavementalhealthconcerns to
encouragephysicalactivity,fun and friendship.Footballskillsand smallgamestake place on the Rec in  the
centreof Bath afterwork.This has also includedone to one walk and talk sessionsand one to one football
sessions.
OurambitionistoworkwiththecommunityaroundBathCityFC'sgroundinTwertonandwithinBath to
giveopportunitiesforchildren,youngpeople,andadultstoengageinqualitysportingactivityto effect
changeintheirlives.Wearegratefultoourfunders,volunteers,andsupporterswithintheBathCity FC
family in helping us develop the Foundation.
We love the work we do.  We are all about sport for change and it is working in Bath.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Governing document

Theorganisationisacharitablecompanylimitedbyguarantee,incorporatedon19thJuly2011 and
registeredasacharityon3rdAugust2011.ThecompanywasestablishedunderaMemorandum of
Associationwhichestablishedthe objectsand powersof the charitablecompanyand is governedunder its
ArticlesofAssociation.Intheeventofthecompanybeingwoundupmembersarerequiredto contribute
and amount not exceeding £1.

Recruitment and appointment of new trustees

Fourtrusteeswereappointedduringtheyearandadditionaltrusteeswillbeappointedinthefuture to
provide skills and expertise on new projects as they occur.

Organisational structure

ThecharityoperatessolelythroughmeetingsoftheTrustees.Alldecisionsaretakenbythe Trustees.
ResponsibilityforfinancialmanagementisdelegatedtotheChairwhodrawsonthesupportof other
Trustees as necessary. Activities of the Trust are overseen by the Chair.
During the year formal meetings of the Trustees were held.

Responsibilities and basis of report

Asthecharity'strusteesoftheCompany(andalsoitsdirectorsforthepurposesofcompanylaw)you are
responsiblefor the preparationof the accountsin accordancewith the requirementsof the Companies Act
2006 ('the 2006 Act').
HavingsatisfiedmyselfthattheaccountsoftheCompanyarenotrequiredtobe auditedunderPart16 of
the2006Actandareeligibleforindependentexamination,Ireportinrespectofmyexaminationof your
charity'saccountsascarriedoutundersection145oftheCharitiesAct2011('the2011Act').In carrying

I have completedmy examination.I confirmthat no mattershave come to my attentionin connection with
the examination giving me cause to believe:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by section 386 of the 2006 Act; or

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

Thefinancialstatementsofthecharitablecompany,whichisapublicbenefitentityunderFRS 102,
havebeenpreparedinaccordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReporting by
Charities:StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccounts in
accordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland (FRS
102)(effective1 January2019)',FinancialReportingStandard102'The FinancialReporting Standard
applicablein theUK andRepublicofIreland'andtheCompaniesAct2006.Thefinancial statements
have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Income

Allincomeis recognisedin theStatementofFinancialActivitiesoncethecharityhasentitlement to
the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.

Expenditure

Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructive obligation
committingthe charityto that expenditure,it is probablethat a transferof economicbenefitswill be
requiredinsettlementandtheamountoftheobligationcanbemeasuredreliably.Expenditure is
