The Trustees present their annual re￿rt together volh the financial ststements of the Company for the year I
June 2024 to 31 May 2025. The Annual report serves the purposes of both a TTUStees' report and a directors,
report under company law. The Trustees confim thai the Annual report and financial statements of the
charitable company comply with the current Statutory requirements, the requirements of the charitsble company s
goveming document and the PTWSiOnS of the Statemeni of Recommended Pracb"ce {SORPI applicable to
charities preparing their aGcount5 in accordance the Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland {FRS1021 {effecti¥e 1 January 2019).
Since the Company qualffies as small under section 382 of the Companies Act 2006, the Strategic report
requifed of medium and large companies under the Companies Act 2006 (Strategic Report and Directors.
Report) Regulations 2013 has been omitied.
Objectives and activitles
a. P¢Aicies and obie¢tiVeS
The Foundakn'on continues to support the therape￿1¢ needs of the young people resident in the homes wth the
support of the consultsnl psychiatrist Visits eath home every month and works wth the stsff and young
people to support the therapeutic plans which fomi part of each young person's care plans.
The consultant Ljses Berri anatysis to assess the progress each young pef50n makes if they a￿ in placement for
longer than 6 months.
As well as this support the consultant runs a number of spwalist training courses for staff both face to face and
on line.
b. Maln activitiès undertaken to lurther the Company's purposes for the public benefft
Iln setting objectives and planning for activthes, the TTUStees have given dve considerabon to general guidance
published by the Charity Commisyon relating to public benefit. induding the guidance 'Public benefit.. running a
charity IPB21'.

. Main achievements of the Company
The charity receives all its income for Hopscotch Care Ltd, 3 company which is owned by the Trustee5. The
Director5 agree lo contribute a percentage of the profft5 each year to support the young people in care with the
ambition of ensuring they can make the transrtion lo independent OT semi independent living when they leave the
care of Hopscotch at the age of 17 or 18.
The donations from the company are made on a monthly b8S15 al a sufficient level to cover the therapeub"c
support. The Directors are committed to prowding this 5LlPPOrt for as long as the Foundation identrfies the need
for this service and will incTea5e donations tl this is deemed necessary as the com￿nY grows and the number of
young people needing support increases.

Flnancial review
a. Going concern
After making appropriate enquiries. the Trustees have a ￿asOnable expectation that the Company has adequate
resources lo continue in operab'onal existence for the fo￿Seeable fiJture. For this reason. they continue lo adopt
the going concem basis in p￿paring the financial ststements. Further details regarding the adoption of the going
concem basis can be found in the ac¢ounts"ng policies.
b. Year end results
The charity has a deficit of income over expenditu￿ in the current year of £381," all unrestn.cted funds tolalled
£50 at the year end date.
The Charity is entirely dependent on donats.ons from the main company Hopscotch Care Ltd vknich runs seven
residential homes for looked after thildren.

The Trustees have absolute discretion to invesl in any stocks. funds. securrties or investments authorised by law
for the investment of trust funds or in the purchase. repair or improvement of any freehold or leasehold propety
whether or not required in whole or in part for oc¢upab"on for the pU￿oSeS of the Trusl.

The Trustees have considered the risks that face the chanty through rts operating activibes and consider all risks
when making decisions which affect the chanty finanaalty. strategically and operationalty.

Hopscotch Care Foundation ¥vas incorporated on 9 May 2011 as a company limited by guarantee. The principal
object of the charity is lo prowde 5UPPOrt for young people who are in or leawng residents.al care in the North
Wesl with additional SLfPPOrt over and above what the home vA)uld nomally provide.
b. Methods of appolntment or election of Trustses
The management of the Company is the responsibilty of the Trustees are elected and co-opted under the
tems of the Trust deed.

The charity is govemed by its Memorandum and AJts"des of Associab'on dated 9 May 2011 as amended by
special resolution with Companies House on 7 July 2011 and is registered wrth the Charity Commission under
the registration number 1143199.

2.1 Basis of preparntion of financial statements
The fiAancial slatements have been prepared in a¢cordan¢e vAih the Charitses SORP IFRS 1021-
Accounting and Reporb"ng by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Pra¢lice applicable to charities
preparing their a¢¢ounls in accordance wih the Finanaal Reporbng Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102) leffecb.ve 1 January 20191. the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republi¢ of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Companies Act 2006.
Hopscot¢h Care Foundation meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and
liabilities are initially re¢ogni5ed at historical cost OT transaction value unless otherwise slated in the
relevant accounting pdicy.
2.2 Incom•
AJI income is recognised once the Company ha5 entiuement lo the income, r( is piobable that the
income will be received and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably.
2.3 Ex￿ndIture
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic benefrt

the amount of the obligatson can be measured ￿liablY. Expenditure is classified by activity. The costs
of each activity are made up of the total of direct costs and shared costs, Induding support costs
