number of personnel that help them oversee certain aspects of the charity's work.

To further or benefit the residents of Manchester and the neighbourhood, without
disbnthon of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other
opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities,
voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and
to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure
time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the
residents.

below, provide benefit both to those uses our communlty centre and

CULTURAL AND RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES:
The community centre provides place for our prayers and worship and for the
acknvibes assoaated with our faith Dunng the year under review, we offered and
conducted a range of religious and cultural services and acbvibes Including.
Pr3yers.' Our centre Is open for daily and weekly prayers During the week, we
have over 15 people who regularly attend daily prayers and over 150 who
regularly attend weekly prayers
Festfvals." our centre prepares food during holy month for those attending our
actsvibes and wish to break their fast together. Religious fesbvals i.e. Eid was
also celebrated at our centre with a family day and communal meal

Our community centre hall and rooms provide a valuable educab'onal and
recreabonal resource to all In our local community A wide range of acbvibes are
organised and take place from our community centre,
Turklsh language courses." Turknsh Consulate General In London appointed a
Turkish language teacher to teach Turkish language and cultrjre to pupils and
adults at Manchester Turknsh Community Centre.
Supplementary school and homework support.. at weekends and during
school holidays a supervised homework club is supported and supervised by
volunteers and over 50 children regularly attend the club
Semlnars and cultural and rellglous talks.. volunteers provide free cultural and
religious seminars at our centre every Wednesday evenings.
Sport actlvltles.. The Charity organises sport events mainly in football and table
tennis.
Fetes & Festlvals." we have a little festival occasionally a few times yearly.
Many people who are from different background attend to our fesb'vals All is
planned and prepared a week before the festivals. Especially Turkn"sh dishes are
offered and presented to the visitors to taste including Turkish pasty, cakes,

kebabs and local foods from different regions In Turkey Many people are invited
to this chanty acb.vity to buy and eat for fundraising This Is a really good cultural
and social acbvity for the community spirit. During the fesbval, many people find
a chance to speak and get to know each other while tasbng good food. It is also
good opportunity to learn about the culture and food while it Is a collecbvely
playing and entertaining event for all children together
The festive were a way of respon(fing to our community desire to make more
use of parks by bringing people togettier to share in actsvibes In a pleasant green
sethng. The aims of the picnics for the community are to:

with the local community.

during the year
Volunteers are an important resource in community work This year our Charity
has achieved to reach over 5,500 Turknsh spealang people In Manchester and
surrounding cibes This helped us increase our number of volunteers who then
helped us organise and conduct more charitable and fund-raising acts"vities than
last year. Volunteers are Involved In most of our community activities and we
have now over 35 people regularly giving their tsme.

The trustees have reviewed the reserves of the charity. Their policy is to hold
enough funds to meet two months, operating costs of the centre and of our
community acbvitses and programmes. In calculabng the charity's reserves the
trustees have deducted from the total of unrestricted funds of the charity, the
value of the lease of the centre and other tangible fixed assets as shown in the
accounts and the designated fvnd.

charity ('the Trust") for the year ended 3110312024.
