In fvrtherance of these objects but not otherwise, the trustees shall have power: To establish or secure the estsblishmenl of a community centre and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a cenlre for activities promoted by the charity in furtherance of the above objects. The charity carries out a wide range of activlties in pursuance of its charltable alms. The trustees conslder that these activities, summarised below, provlde benefit both to those who uses our community centre and the wider community of Greater Manchester and neighbouring cities. CULTURAL AND RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES: The community centre provides place for our prayers and worship and for the activities associated with our faith. During the year under review, we offered and conducted a range of religious and cultural services and activities including: Prayers: Our cenlre is open for daily and weekly prayers. During the week, we have over 15 people who regularly attend daily prayers and over 150 who regularly attend weekly prayers. Festlvals: our centre prepares food during holy month for those attending our activities and wish to break their fast together. Religious festivals i.e. Eid was also celebraled at our cenlre with a family day and communal meal. Cooking and selling ethnlc foods to raise funds: each week on Fridays the charity invites a voluntary chef to cook Turkish foods to raise funds for the Charity. This activity used to be done monthSy, but it has become so popular then it was changed to weekly. Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES Our community centre hall and rooms provide a valuable educational and recreational resource to all in our local community. A wide range of activities are organised and take place from our community cenlre. Turkish language courses: Turkish Consulate General in London appointed a Turkish language teacher to teach Turkish language and culture to pupils and adults at Manchester Turkish Community Centre. Supplementary school and homework support: at weekends and during school holidays a supervised homework club is supported and supervised by volunteers and over 30 children regularly attend the club. Seminars and cultural and religious talks: volunteers provide free cultural and religious seminars at our centre every Wednesday evenings. Sport actlvltles The Charity organises sport events mainly in football and table tennis. Fetes & Festivals: we have a little festival occasionally a few times yearly. Many people who are from different background attend to our festivals. All is planned and prepared a week before the festivals. Especially Turkish dishes are offered and presented to the visitors to taste including Turkish pastry, cakes, kebabs and local foods from different regions in Turkey. Many people are invited to this charity activity to buy and eat for fundraising. This is a really good cultural and social activity for the community spiril. During the festival, many people find a chance to speak and get to know each other while tasting good food. It is also good opportunity to learn about the culture and food while it is a collectively la in and entertainin event for all children to ether. TAR March 2012

Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the maln achievements of the charity during the year Volunteers are an imFX)rtanl resource in community work. This year our Charity has achieved lo reach over 5,000 Turkish speaking people in Manchester and surrounding cities. This helped us increase our number of volunteers who then helped us organise and conduct more charitsble and fund-raising activities than last year. Volunteers are involved in most of our community activities and we have now over 30 people regulady giving their lime. TAR March 2012

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 05/04/2022.

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
