It is intended to be a forum of consultant level experts to consider these issues. ``` ``` The aims of the Society are: ``` - `agreeing best practice and standards of care for patients with muscle disease` - `agreeing standards for training in clinical myology and clinical muscle pathology` - `promoting translational research` - `establishing clinical networks to facilitate and promote clinical trials and patient registries` - `facilitating collaborations with patient organisations` ## **`ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE`** ## **`Charitable activities`** ``` TheBMSAnnualMeetingwasheldas a shortenedprogrammeonlineon the12thNov2021.This meeting includedashortenedAGM(online).TheBMSfundedfreemeetingplacesforallattendees. BMS membership was required for registration. ``` ``` Theonlineeventwaswellreceivedwithexcellentattendeeshipandfeedback.Attendeeshipwas around 130 delegates. ``` ``` TheBMSAdultMuscleteachingdaywasheldonlineon 11thNov2021.A smallfeeof £35wascharged to any non-BMS members attending this event. Attendeeship was around 100 delegates. ``` ``` Aneweventwascreatedfor2022:TheBMSAHP(AlliedHealthProfessionals)teachingday.Thisevent is designedforAlliedHealthProfessionalswithaspecialistinterestinNeuromuscularDisease. Free attendance was provided to all attendees.
